About Us

Welcome to Winsley Pet Care. We are a small business managed by myself, Lynne, and supported by my family members during busier times.

Before venturing into pet care services I was a busy, office based professional who often needed help with my own animals. There were already many fabulous pet service providers but we really struggled to find a service that could walk one of our temporary foster dogs on her terms. She had a tendency to bolt if not closely supervised and could be snappy with smaller dogs. Professional group walks soon started causing more problems than they solved for us and we were unable to find anyone willing to take her on her own, as most walkers rely on larger groups to make the walk viable. This then meant rushing home at lunchtimes for quick walks and feelings of guilt for not doing better by her. Days out and weekend breaks were tricky, often impossible.

When she returned to her family I really missed her and started walking dogs for the Cinamon Trust to fill the void. A couple of years later, fancying a lifestlye change, I took my partner’s advice and decided to explore starting my own professional walking service that focused mostly on providing solo walks, at affordable rates, for dogs who struggle in group situations. This proved to be successful and I now have several grateful, loyal clients and have expanded into providing drop in visits and pet/house sitting services.

I truly believe that every animal deserves a chance to live a full and exciting life so am totally dedicated to providing the highest level of care and support. I am very fortunate to live in a home full of animal lovers who are willing to step in and help me with some of the services to ensure that everything runs smoothly, efficiently and safely.

Although my focus is still very much on providing help with dogs needing one to one services I do work with all ages, breeds and temperaments and have a lovely mixed client personality portfolio. My charges range from the very timid and tetchy to the super friendly and chilled.

Whatever the characteristics of your pets are, we can guarantee that we will do everything in our power to care for and pamper them as if they were our own. And trust me…. our pets are adored and pampered like pet royaltly.

Drop In Visits

Drop in visits are perfect for domestic pets that can happily be left alone for the majority of the day when you are away.

One of us will pop in to your property to top up feed, replace water, change litter and bedding and, where appropriate, provide cuddles and playtime.

We can also take care of plant watering, putting out your bins, collecting your post and some basic security procedures to help keep everything running smoothly whilst you are away.

We do not recommend leaving a dog alone overnight but will visit for garden potty breaks etc if you have to leave them for a few hours during the day and we are happy to consider visits for any other domestic pets you may have including cats, snakes, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, terrapins etc. Prior to any booking we will come to your home to meet you and your pets so that we can carry out a full induction of your pets to enusre we have have all the information for their care.

Areas covered and pricing

For drop in visits we are happy to travel up to 15 mins drive from Winsley. We do charge for traveling so anywhere beyond Turleigh, Freshford, Limpley Stoke and the very western edge of Bradford on Avon may not be cost effective for you.
