Windmill Boarding Kennels provide first class care for your dog while you are away. Our years of veterinary experience give you peace of mind that your dog is safe and sound at all times during their stay. We do our utmost to make sure your dog is happy and relaxed and receives plenty of love and attention every single day.

We offer a variety of dog boarding services including shared or individual kennels, long stays as well as day care, and dog grooming services. We’re conveniently located just a few miles south of Newtown, Powys, so come up and meet us!

Boarding with us

Windmill Boarding Kennels is licensed for a maximum of just 24 dogs which means each dog receives optimal care and attention.

The dogs are kennelled individually with their own bedroom area with window and outdoor run, access to which is available during the day. Dogs from the same family can be housed together depending on size and suitability. Dogs from different families never share the same kennel.

Each bedroom has its own heating and is equipped with raised beds and soft & snuggly Vet-Bed fleece bedding, ensuring your dog is comfortable and cosy warm during winter.

A tired dog is a happy dog

Exercise takes place at least three times daily in our grass paddocks and during on-lead walks in the nearby countryside. Staying with us, your dog will find a relaxed atmosphere, plenty of love and attention, right up to a late night check and bedtime treat.

We feed all dogs twice a day but we’re happy to follow your own dog’s feeding regime. You may wish to bring your own food, or we can feed our high quality veterinary-style diet.

Grooming is an important part of your dog’s life and we offer a friendly, relaxed service either during your dog’s stay with us or on a drop off basis.

Puppy Introductory Groom

These are one-hour sessions and are highly recommended to familiarise puppies with the noises and vibrations of all the equipment we use. This session will get your puppy accustomed before the big groom.
