Welcome
Welcome to Williamwood Dog Walking and Pet Services.  We offer a professional, reliable dog walking and pet visiting service in Clarkston, Newton Mearns and surrounding areas.

About me

Welcome to Williamwood Dog Walking and Pet Services and thank you for visiting.

I’m Elinor.  I began Williamwood Dog Walking and Pet Services to combine my professional life with two of my great loves: animals and walking in the outdoors.  From my earliest childhood I have always loved animals, and grew up with dogs and cats as well as a range of other pets including hamsters, rats (fancy) and a cockatiel.  Today, my family pets are a lovely wee rescue dog called Pippi, and a beautiful (very cheeky) Siberian cat called Masha.   I feel so lucky to be able to work with animals every day, and it’s a privilege to take care of your pets.  It’s so important to be able to relax and trust that your pets are safe and happy when you are at work or on holiday.  I make every effort to build secure and nurturing relationships with the pets in my care, so that they’re always happy to see me!

For your peace of mind, I have:

Services

Williamwood Dog Walking and Pet Services offer the following:

Daytime:

I offer two daily group walks, Monday to Friday, morning and afternoon. Depending on the number of dogs these will be in local parks (up to four dogs maximum) or in a secure field (more than four dogs). In between these walks I can offer shorter individual walks or pet visits.

Group Dog Walks ( 1 hour) : £12

Group dog walks will take place in local parks and green spaces (such as Rouken Glen, Linn Park, Dams to Darnley Country Park, Cathkin Braes). In these spaces your dog will be initially be walked on the lead while we get to know each other and build our relationship. In discussion with yourself, if we agree that it is safe and appropriate, your dog will be able to walk off the lead. If your dog does not have secure recall, they can be walked on a long lead to allow some freedom to run and play during their walk. You can, of course, choose for your dog to be kept on lead at all times.

Secure Field Group Dog Walks: (1 hour): £12

For a larger group of dogs I offer walks in a secure field. These are large enclosed spaces where your dog can safely run and chase without the risk of running away – ideal for dogs with high prey drive or poor recall. As well as getting a good run about and lots of play with their friends, these runs offer a secure environment where I can work on your dog’s recall.

Individual Dog Walk (30 mins) £10

This option may be ideal for reactive dogs who are not yet comfortable walking in a group, or for older dogs who are happier with a shorter and calmer walk to themselves with total one-to-one attention.

Puppy Visits (30 mins): £10

Puppy visits are visits to your home where I can provide play, cuddles, feeding, toileting and a short walk (when your puppy is ready) as required.

Pet Visits (30 mins): £10

As with puppy visits, I can visit your home to look after pets such as cats and other small animals, for example while you are away on holiday. This service includes: litter tray change, cleaning food/water bowls, feeding, and lots of cuddles and attention for your pet.
