We Love Pets Kidderminster – Dog Walker, Pet Sitter & Home Boarder

Be the first to review

We Love Pets Kidderminster is based in the historic Kidderminster area, just south of the borders where Worcestershire, Staffordshire, and Shropshire meet. We provide dog walker, pet sitter, home boarder, and small animal care services from Cookley to Stourport-on-Severn, and everywhere in between. Each of our dog walkers is individually DBS checked, fully insured, pet first aid trained, and professionally qualified in animal care.

We pride ourselves on caring for all animals, big and small, so whether you need a dog walker while you’re at work, or a trusted individual to check in on your rabbits while you’re away – We Love Pets has you covered! We’ll look after any pet (birds, cats, horses, ferrets, geckos…you name it!), any day of the week, and we’ll make the time to fit into your schedule.

It’s important for us to get to know your pet, and fully understand their needs, so we can offer them the very best care available. You will always have the opportunity to meet your dog walker, pet sitter, or animal carer beforehand, just to ensure that the fit is right for all parties involved.

All of our We Love Pets Kidderminster staff are highly-trained pet care professionals, and have experience working with a variety of animal breeds, sizes, and personalities. We’re a nationally recognised brand, locally owned and operated, so you can count on us to fulfil all of your pet care needs.

Meet Lucy | We Love Pets Kidderminster

Our We Love Pets Kidderminster branch is run by Lucy Greaves, an area native and lifelong animal lover. Lucy is passionate about animal welfare, and is especially dedicated to advocating for the safety and welfare of rabbits – she and her partner have six!

Lucy is a City & Guilds qualified dog walker, and enjoys taking advantage of the variety of lovely dog walks that her area has to offer – we’ve listed her favourite places below. All of the Kidderminster team are all fully insured, police checked, and first aid trained to ensure maximum safety and wellbeing for your pet.

While browsing franchise opportunities for her husband, Lucy chanced upon We Love Pets, and said she “had no idea there was a franchise that fitted me so well!” With a background in customer service, she has all the right skills to work with a variety of customers and their furry counterparts, and is really excited to share her passion for animals with the Kidderminster area.

Fun fact: in addition to her rabbits, Lucy and her husband also have two tortoiseshell cats – Betty and Wilma, who are sisters from the same litter, and affectionately described as the typical “Naughty Torties.” Lucy says the cats rule the house, but their bunny counterparts occupy their own mansion known as, “Fort Bunlop,” which pays homage to the former tyre factory in nearby Birmingham. And while cats and rabbits take the cake as favourites, she says that she positively adores all animals!

Why choose We Love Pets?

We never pack walk!
Pack walking is when a large group of dogs are walked together at the same time. This is not safe for dogs, walkers or the general public who run into them. We’ll never pack walk your dog, which means they get more time out and about enjoying their walk than stuck in a van travelling to collect other dogs.

We’ve got high professional standards

  • We’re all pet first aid trained
  • Nobody is hired without a DBS check
  • All walkers have full insurance
  • Home boarders have licences from their council

Dog Walks – from £19 an hour

Our dog walks focus on exercise, socialisation, and fun! We match dogs with a suitable walking buddy, but never walk in groups of more than four – as part of our ‘No Pack Walk Policy.’ Our friendly, knowledgeable dog walkers will send updates and photos whilst out, before returning your dog clean, happy, and ready for a rest.

Home Boarding – from £55 per 24 hours

Give your dog a holiday while you’re away through our home boarding service. Your pup will stay with one of our fully licensed & experienced host families in a safe, comfortable home – rather than a kennel. We’ll stick to your dog’s diet, routine, and walking schedule for a true home-from-home experience.

Pet Visits – from £16 for 30 mins

Need someone to pop in and check on your pet? Our trustworthy and reliable pet care professionals will make a visit for tailored feeding, medication administration, play & interaction, toilet breaks, and to clear any messes. They’re DBS checked for your peace of mind, and will send regular updates and photos during the visit.

House Sitting – from £85 per 24 hour

Keep to your pet’s normal routine while on holiday with our house sitting service. One of our pet care professionals will stay with your pet in your home to follow their routine, clean hutches and cages, give medication, go for walks, let out for the toilet, help around the house, and give your pet plenty of fuss and love!

Why we love Kidderminster

Our favourite places to take dogs in Kidderminster

We love a dog walk across the beautiful expanse of lowland heath that is Hartlebury common. With a variety of dog-friendly walks to choose from, it’s a new adventure each time.

Habberley Valley is a nature reserve just south of Kidderminster proper that boasts sandstone hills, woodland paths, and well-worn trails perfect for a leisurely dog walk.

One of the largest remaining ancient woodlands in the whole of Great Britain, Wyre Forest is a West Midlands gem. Dogs are welcomed throughout the park, which even includes a dog friendly café and onsite dog washing station! Perfect for those days when your furry friend has a romp in the mud.

One of our favourite places for a stroll is Bewdley along the River Severn. Known for it’s stunning Georgian architecture, lively pub scene, and picturesque river scenes – it’s definitely dog walker approved!

Brinton Park has everything from a skate park to a sensory garden, and plenty of wide open green spaces for your dog to enjoy some off-the-lead freedom. We like to take the dogs and grab a cuppa from the pop-up café.

For wide open landscape as far as the eye can see, we recommend taking a hike across Spennells Fields.
