Welcome to Wag & Run
We are a family run facility for all dog owners and dog walkers. We pride ourselves on providing a secure, fun, worry free facility. Wag and Run Field opened in 2021 and continually receives brilliant reviews.
A fully secure facility from the minute you enter the car park.
The field and playpark are both surrounded by 6 ft fencing throughout. Each with a purpose built car park for your sole use, able to take up to 3 cars per booking. Both are easy to enter and depart from.
Wag and Run is conveniently situated just 1/4 mile along the road from Gemmels Garden Centre (between Coylton and Mauchline, KA55JD). Gemmells Garden Centre is now DOG FRIENDLY and provide both eat in and carry out food.
All dogs are welcome at Wag and Run.
The reasons people may have to use our dog field may include; having a young or rescue dog; reactive dog; dogs with no recall; ogs uncomfortable in public spaces; a dog recovering from injury. You may just want to be left along to enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the countryside.
Both areas are competitively priced and prices have remained the same since we opened. Prices start from £6 for 1-3 dogs.
Our field and play-park are for the sole use of the client booked into that time slot.
We work on the field outside of bookings so the place is totally yours for the time you book it for.
Please note Wag and Run Field is on a slight slope and we do have a variety of pet animals in adjacent fields (pigs, sheep, horses and hens) so please bear this in mind before booking. Our animals are fine with dogs close by. An animal behaviourist and vet both agreed this was a good tool in desensitising dogs to farmed animals in a safe and controlled way.
Wag & Run Field has beautiful views across the Ayrshire countryside to Arran. Plenty of space in the 2 acre field to run about as well as a variety of interest for the dogs to jump, sniff, dig, swim, climb on or run through. In summer the grass is cut short on a regular basis so dogs don’t run the risk of picking up ticks or missing those wee poops!
There is a tap so no need to bring water. We also provide poo bags incase you forget.
A path takes you from the car park to the shed. The shed is somewhere where both humans and dogs can shelter out the showers.
There is no dense woodland or watercourses where flies linger. So nice for a picnic on a summers day.
Wag and Run Field is open 7am to sunset.
Booking slots are available in 25 minute or 55 minute sessions.
Wag and Run Park is our new facility. A smaller area than the field, but grass free. Again has all the interest a dog could need, (minus water and mud). Perfect for those who have babies or mobility issues and needing the car close by.
Wag and Run Dog Park is out of sight of the Field. Again outside, but is more sheltered from the wind. It includes a good area for zoomies, an obstacle area and themed areas which are sheltered from the rain. The dog park has a covered tea and coffee making facility and a loo (accessible down a step!). A first visit introduction is required.
Wag and Run Playpark is open 9.15am to 8.15pm
Booking slots are available as 45 minute sessions.
