Be the first to review
As genuine animal lovers, we know how difficult it can be to find the best possible care for your pets.

We wouldn’t leave ours with a pet sitter who didn’t offer the same high standard of care and comfort as we do, and no doubt you’re the same.
TynePets is a professional pet service offering pet care which is second to none.

Now in our 14th year, we offer home boarding for dogs, a stress-free alternative to kennels. Comfortable beds and space on the sofa is available so your dog can snuggle up and feel at ease.

TynePets dog walking service offers fun-filled, social dog walks on weekday lunchtimes.

We can visit your home once or twice a day to look after cats, rabbits and other small pets.

Alternatively, we offer luxury home from home boarding for guinea pigs, rats, hamsters and other little furry friends.

**We are currently only taking on new dogs for boarding if they are neutered, small/medium sized and over three years of age**

Home Dog Boarding, No Kennels

Dogs love their home environment; sleeping in their own beds, eating at regular times, cuddles and individual attention. They also enjoy exciting walks and playing with their favourite toys.

Some animals may cope in kennels and cages but others don’t and find the experience very stressful. That’s where we come in.

We will take your pet into our home and treat him or her like one of the family, keeping their usual routines to make sure they feel safe and secure.

We are dog lovers first and foremost and have many years of experience in looking after the most challenging of rescue dogs as well as the best of breeds.
We offer:

A comfortable home from home for your dogs, living in our house and being treated like one of the family.
Peace of mind for you that you are leaving your pet in a safe and secure environment.

Regular and frequent walks at an appropiate level and intensity for the dog. There are miles of tracks through open countryside and woodland within a five minute walk of our home.

Loads of attention and fun playtimes – we have an overflowing toybox (squeaky tennis balls are especially popular!) but feel free to bring along your dog’s favourite.

Home Visits For Cats Who Hate the Cattery

Cats are independent souls but taking them away from their home environment while you’re away can be very stressful and disorientating.

We offer daily or twice daily visits to your home to care for your cat.

Everything is taken care of to ensure their wellbeing – a general health check, feeding, changing water, cleaning bowls, emptying litter trays and of course, plenty of cuddles and playtime. We can also give routine medication such as tablets or injections free of charge.

We appreciate that cats have quirks and have a Feline Behaviour and Psychology Diploma.

Dog Walkers in Newcastle upon Tyne, Gosforth and Heaton

While you are working or have other commitments during the day, it can be difficult to make sure that your dog’s needs are looked after.

It’s unfair on your dog to expect him or her to stay in the house for hours on end without being let out or having any stimulation. Often, that’s when problems occur – destructive behaviour, chewing the furniture, barking or separation anxiety.
We offer a long-established, professional dog walking service. Rain or shine, we will pick your dog up from your home and take him or her on an active walk before returning them, happy and clean and looking forward to a nice snooze before mum or dad comes back.

Muddy paws and dirty bellies will be towelled off, drinking water checked and re-filled. We can also feed your dog, or give routine medication if necessary.

The safety of your pet is paramount. We are very careful about the areas where our dogs are walked so you’ll never find us unloading dogs on busy roads next to the Town Moor. We prefer quieter and safer locations.

For your peace of mind:
  • We NEVER leave dogs unattended in our van while others are walked.
  • Your dog will be gradually introduced to sociable friends.
  • We walk all dogs on their lead unless owners give express permission for off-leash exercise and we are confident with your dog’s recall.
  • TynePets’ dog walkers are fully insured.

About TynePets

Animals have always been an important part of my life.

My mum bred, showed and judged toy and miniature poodles so I’ve always been surrounded by dogs and puppies. From a very young age, I loved dogs and learned to recognise their individual needs, traits and personalities, how to train them and above all, to achieve that special bond and mutual understanding.

I was lucky enough to get my first pony; officially called Mercury, but we called him Murky, at the age of seven.

Together with my husband, we’ve experienced the best times of pet ownership; the hikes in the countryside, the snuggling, laughter, playtime and fun. We’ve also experienced the other side; seeing our best friends becoming deaf, arthritic, infirm or gradually losing their sight. We’ve developed ways of dealing with those problems and making life as comfortable as possible for older pets.

For a number of years we shared our home with Boots, our top cat and quite a character.

The idea for a caring home from home dog boarding service began many years ago with our wonderful girl, Zoe. We checked out local kennels, found one that seemed good and booked her in. It was only for a long weekend – what could go wrong? When we picked her up, Zoe was completely stressed, had eaten nothing for the entire stay and most importantly we had never been contacted about it even though we were in the country. I hate to think how things would have turned out if we’d been away for longer. No more kennels for our dogs!

We’ve had a variety of furry friends over the years; dogs, cats, horses, budgies, fish, chickens and sheep, even a disabled crow. We’ve also cared for many more including rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, degus, gerbils and reptiles.

We are very proud of the service we have created and look forward to welcoming your pets into our family, whether it’s for dog walks, holiday care or regular visits.
