Find your dog a walker who is experienced, prioritises welfare and education and strives to treat every dog they meet as the individual they are. Someone who strives to provide a safe and stimulating environment while offering the love, kindness and respect that your dog deserves.
I’m Rachel and I run The Paddy Paws Co. I have two Lurchers, Juno and Panda and I Love Dogs…
I started the business in February 2020 after leaving the financial services industry, wanting a change in scenery and a more rewarding career.
Despite the challenges thrown up by Covid, the spaces quickly filled up and The Paddy Paws Co has been running at full capacity since early 2021.
I’ve Invested a lot of time and money into training courses with various training organisations from the IMDT, British College Of Canine Studies and Canine Principles. I’ve obtained my certificate in Canine First Aid and always carry a first aid kit. I have attended courses and webinars ran by some of the leaders in their fields on topics such as; Understanding Foreign Rescues and Recognising the Difference Between Street, Homeless and Feral Dogs, Predatory Motor Patterns, How to Help Working Breeds Live in a Home Setting Without Negatively Hindering their Biological Desires and Canine Reactivity and PTSD. I’m currently studying my level 3 in Canine Behaviour and I continue to carry out self study.
I have successfully offered puppy socialisation classes on a 1-2-1 basis and taken these pups on as walking clients, into a group walk setting, once old and mature enough.
I’ve cared for older dogs with differing needs. My eldest client at the time of writing is 14 years old, partially sighted and partially deaf, but still loves her hour long walks, even if it’s strictly on lead only from now on.
I offer enrichment walks and encourage lots of sniffing, exploring and peaceful coexistence. My clients always return home happy, calm and relaxed. We only use the best quality treats, but allergies are catered for. If your dog has an allergy or develops an intolerance, please discuss this with me immediately.
Many people, understandably, misunderstand what socialisation actually is or how small that period is. When you look into the technical term of ‘puppy socialisation‘, you realise it’s about as misleading as shouting ‘No!’ At your dog after calling their name and getting their attention (did you just tell them off for paying attention when you asked?)
However, if you have a new pup who will eventually graduate to dog walking, there’s no better way to prepare your pup then with 1-2-1 socialisation time with their new dog walker. We work from a curated list and feed back to you after each session. We work with you to ensure that Pup doesn’t miss out on important experiences or has an extra set of hands to help with some of the scarier or more challenging aspects they’ve encountered.
£25 per session
Groups consist of 4 well matched companions in dog suitable environments. I take a lot of inspiration from the #SlowDogMovement. Sniffing, scent marking exploring and peaceful coexistence is rewarded and encouraged! The walks are ‘dog led’, so your dog follows their nose and chooses their own walk. We try to find interesting and varying locations, so they don’t end up at the same park every walk (weather permitting!). We supply our own leads, poo bags and high quality dog treats. You just need to supply a dog, a harness and their identity tag!
£12.50
Don’t feel guilty if you’re out all day Sunday and you can’t take your dog along too. Get in touch to arrange an adventure walk. The location will be a little further afield and will be at least 1.5 hours of activity.

£30 for bank holiday/bank holiday weekends
We offer home visits for all the animals in your house, not just your dogs. After two decades of house rabbit ownership and lots of cat clients over the years, we are always here to drop in, refresh water, change litter and offer feeds and a bit of companionship.
