The K9 Creche

Be the first to review

Here at the K9 Creche we provide dog daycare and luxury farm stay boarding on a family farm within the outskirts of Newcastle and Gateshead. We are dog lovers through and through and have many years of experience caring for our own and others’ dogs like one of the family! We were awarded 5 Stars by Gateshead Council under the most recent licensing and legislation changes.

Our facilities are extensive and include large indoor play areas, outdoor play yards, paddocks and private farm dog walking, communal sitting rooms and luxury farm stay boarding rooms.

Our staff are very experienced and complete extensive CPD hours annually covering dog behaviour and reward based training methods, in addition to holding first aid certificates.

The superb location ensures that all of our doggy friends can reach us with ease. We are only 1 mile from the A1 and Team Valley Trading Estate, and a mere 5 miles from Newcastle. Therefore we are easily accessible from Gateshead, Sunniside, Whickham, Kibblesworth, Birtley and Low Fell.

Visits are strictly by appointment only so please contact us to arrange a viewing.

Dog Daycare

Why not treat your dog to fun, play and socialising whilst you are out at work all day?

At the K9 Creche we have a fabulous group of daycare dogs that always look forward to welcoming new friends! Dogs in our care are supervised by experienced, trained staff who love to care for your dogs as part of the family. As socialising is a huge part of any dogs’ development the K9 Creche focuses on this by ensuring that all dogs attending daycare learn to interact in a safe and controlled environment.

The K9 Creche can cater for all dogs large and small, so long as they are fully vaccinated (including kennel cough vaccine), have no history of aggression and male dogs must be neutered. The facility is best suited to social, playful dogs that enjoy interaction and exercise.

Daycare can benefit dogs in a number of ways by promoting confidence, teaching social skills and relieving boredom at home which may lead to behavioural issues such as chewing, barking, and anxiety.

We take the introduction process slowly for our daycare dogs so that they maintain confidence and are introduced to the other dogs at a pace that is individual to them. This ensures that the process is as safe as possible for both new and existing dogs. Due to this process we do not offer occasional daycare, all of our daycare dogs must commit to a minimum of one day per week all year round.
