We are a professional dog walking and Doggy daycare company taking care of dogs across South West London. We specialise in taking dogs on walks primariliy on Wimbledon Common and have a beautiful 5 Acre Daycare site in Pyford, where we care for our Dogs whilst you are away.
We cover the Wandsworth Borough, Wandsworth Common, Wimbledon, Clapham, Battersea, Earlsfield, Streatham, Parsons Green, Tooting, Balham, Putney and Fulham.
The company was started by The Dogfather (aka Dominic ‘Dom’ Makin) in 2009 and has become successful through word-of-mouth endorsements and recommendations. We treat each dog as if it was our own, understanding his or her needs, energy levels, regime and behaviour. This ensures we can put your dog in the right pack so they have as much fun as possible in the right environment. The Dogfather is legally licensed to professionally walk dogs on Wimbledon Common, Wandsworth Common, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.
The Dogfather opened its first Doggy Day Care centre in June 2019. Set in five acres of private, secluded farmland in Pyrford, Surrey – just 30 minutes from Wimbledon and Wandsworth – it’s a unique setting where dogs can socialise with their four-legged friends and explore the great outdoors. While their pets are having fun, owners can rest assured they’re being well looked after in a safe, loving and secure environment. The boutique-style property is a unique home-from-home experience for your pet and brings a brand-new concept to the doggy day-care market. Dogs get to enjoy more space and freedom to safely run around and play in a natural countryside environment in a beautiful stable block with indoor facilities, an outdoor courtyard area and two large fields.
We can also facilitate a wide range of training programmes for all your puppy/dog training needs with our inhouse trainer Tia. Offering one to one training sessions as well as ‘residency boarding’ of a week or more of intensive training sessions.
The Dogfather also provides a home-away-from-home boarding service. We love having them stay over! If your dog is not one of our regular pack members we always ask that he or she joins us on one of our walks beforehand to ensure they’re properly socialised. (Please note we only take neutered dogs).
Our aim is to provide the best possible service, with 100% flexibility. Clients can book regular or ad-hoc services via our client portal. We understand our clients have busy lives and that schedules change, so we can even take last-minute, same-day bookings and we don’t charge for cancellations made before 9am. Simply log in via the portal to book or change your appointment. Whether you’re looking at using our first-rate dog walking, boarding, or grooming services every day or once a week, we can work around you.
