THE DOG SPA

The Dog Spa was founded by Aileen Ashe. Aileen is a City & Guilds fully qualified professional dog groomer, trained by Heidi Anderton & Christine Anderton at Absolutely Animals, London.

The Dog Spa offers a one to one, kind and caring dog grooming experience, where the health, welfare and safety of your pet are of the upmost importance. We are committed to treating your pet with compassion and respect.

The Dog Spa prides itself on using safe animal handling, truly natural shampoo and effective treatments in addition to clipping and styling to your desired finish.

The salon offers a range of services including: FREE consultations, Puppy Introductions, Bath, Dry & Tidy and of course Full Grooms, in addition to health and hygiene services such as teeth and ear cleaning.

We understand that every dog is different and we aim to work with you in the care and maintenance of your dog’s coat and general wellbeing. Nervous and rescue dogs are welcome at The Dog Spa.

ABOUT ME

After finishing a Master’s degree in Dance Science and working in the industry for a year, Aileen felt that that career wasn’t something she was passionate about and wanted to find something that would spark joy in her life.

Dogs have always been a big part of Aileen’s life and she quickly realised that working with them would be extremely fulfilling. Soon after, she started work as a Dog Grooming assistant and quickly progressed to training, and qualifying with level 3 City & Guilds.

Aileen has never known a life without a dog. She currently has 2 fur babies:

Holly, a Labrador cross who is quickly approaching her 11th birthday, has the kindest heart and always greets everyone with a wagging tail and a belly to rub.

Homer, a mixed-breed rescue from Crete, who is still learning the ropes and somehow manages to be unbelievably cute, even when he is naughty.

A special mention gentle Ben, Aileen’s German Shepherd, who she sadly lost last year. He was a very special pup who lead her to the career she loves.

GROOMING SERVICES

Grooming fees vary according to the breed, size and coat condition of your dog. It is recommended that your dog comes to the salon every 4-8 weeks depending on breed.

All of our grooming services include a free Health & Welfare check to ensure your pet’s suitability for grooming.

Tip! The Dog Spa recommends a Bath, Dry & Tidy in-between full grooms.
