Welcome To The Dog Lodge

Animals of different kinds had always been a huge part of my life so it was no surprise to anyone when I decided that starting my own business providing a dog walking and pet sitting service was what I wanted to do. With the whole family – husband Ben, daughter Ceinwyn and son Morgan – on board, The Cambridge Dog Lodge was born. 

The Cambridge Dog Lodge completed its first professional dog walk in 2013 with a dog called Lloyd. He was a Rhodesian Ridgeback and the most gentle giant. We have come along way since then; gained a plethora of experience, compiled an enormous amount of memories and made lots of friends along the way. 

It is important to know that the dog lodge, despite the name, is not all about dogs. As you will see from Our Pack and Other Animals page on this site, we have a variety of pets who live with us. And because of these other animals we decided to expand the business and offer a bespoke service, aimed at small pets, as we know from experience it is not only dogs and cats who need love and care when their mums and dads go away.  

Over the years I have had people assist in our adventures with the Dog Lodge. It has been a pleasure to share that time with friends. Now, it is mainly just me with help when required from Ben, Ceinwyn and Morgan and that is the way it will stay for the forseeable.  

The area we live in provides us with plenty of options for a variety of lovely walks ranging from woodland trails to open hillsides and moors, along rivers and streams for refreshing summertime play. We are incredibly lucky to also have access to an enclosed field for safe off lead fun.

Despite the often very wet Manchester weather, there is nothing better than being out in the fresh air with a dog or two (or three or four) by our sides.

Home Boarding & Daycare

Please be aware that we sadly do not have spaces available for any daycare. 

I am only taking bookings for boarding from current clients.

Puppy Visits

Unfortunately there is very limited availability for any new clients but please make enquiries and I am unable to do it, I will know another professional dog walker who may be able to assist.

Cat visits

Many cats prefer to stay in the comfort of their own home when their owners are on holiday. Having the familiarity of their own environment and own space when you are away, can keep your Feline Overlord,  happy, healthy and relaxed.

Small pet visits 

Despite it being called the Dog Lodge, as you will be able to see we do have other animals who live here too. We are not just about dogs! So we do understand they need caring for just as much as the doggos, whilst you are away from home. We can visit, feed, play, and tailor the service to your requirements. We have experience with many other animals and love to look after them as much as the dogs.
