Hello, my name is Sarah and welcome to Tamworth Pet Services. I have been established for 5 years now. I started my venture in 2016. My small business has gone from strength to strength (minus 2020, the year that didn’t happen).

I have built up a wonderful client base and always ready to add more.

I do my best to meet you and your pets needs and requirements. I can offer a range of services that can be tailored to suit you and your pet’s needs.

I have grown up with pets, mainly dogs, but in my adult life I have had a chipmunk and 5 cats. I now live with my 2 cats Teddy and Gracie. They are my world, my fur babies.

I understand how important our fur babies are to us, that they are part of the family and are loved dearly. I can assure you the highest level of compassion and care will be given to them.

The last 20 years I have spent working as a qualified midwife. Some of these skills I can transfer to pet services. For example, I can confidently administer medication via injections, tablets or liquids, giving the correct dose at specified times. This can be a major reason that pet owners avoid trips away and with this service I aim to alleviate the anxieties and worries that pet owners have.

I am DBS checked and it is current but would like to assure you of complete confidentiality at all times.

Pet sitting can also offer security for your home while you are away. Post can be moved, curtains can be drawn and lights can be switched on. All of these act as a deterrent to any unwanted visitors. I also do not advertise my business i.e. car logos or uniforms so attention will not be drawn to the fact that you are away.

I can happily send daily updates, videos, photos or both if you so wish.

Daily services are available too for those at work, for those convalescing and those who struggle to get out.

All services, excluding scanning and microchipping are available within a 5 mile radius of Glascote in Tamworth. Please see the image below for a full map of the areas we cover. For scanning and microchipping email or call if you are outside this area as a visit may still be possible.

Cat Sitting

I understand your cats are an important part of your family. This is why I offer a personal and professional service to ensure your cat is looked after in the comfort of their own home.

Please note a slight rise to my cat sitting prices has taken place as of 1st July 2022. This is my first rise since starting the business 6 years ago

30 minute visits (daily)

1 x 30 minute visit £8.50

2 x 30 minute visits £16

3 x 30 minute visits £22

For cats that need a little more attention longer visits can be arranged

If you live over 5 miles but less than 10 there will be an additional charge of £2 to cover increased fuel costs. So for example a 30 minute day visit would be £10.50

Dogs Walks

I pride myself on offering a tailored 1-1 services where your dog will receive my undivided attention for the duration of the walk.

I do not under any circumstances walk dogs in groups and routes start from your home and do not entail a car journey. I can walk your existing routes and can vary routes to keep your dog engaged.

Family dogs can be walked together happily, however within reason. For example with my existing clients I walk 3 small breeds together, and also 2 larger breeds.

Not just a fair weather walker, happy to go out rain or shine. Conscious of walking dogs in extreme heat but will try to adjust walk times dependant on other commitments. If not I can still attend to them and let them out in the garden for fresh air.

All dogs will be walked on leads unless prior agreement has been obtained and I feel confident that your dog would return on command.

Dog Sitting

Prices are as follows

£38 per day Inclusive of

  • Half hour walk

  • Overnight stay in your home (I am unable to offer boarding)

  • Daytime visit for a toilet break and company

Scanning

I offer a mobile service for pregnancy confirmation in dogs from 28 days post mating although I prefer to do scans around 32 days. I can also scan following delivery of the pups to ensure all pups have been born in the comfort of their own home so reduces stress to the bitch. I charge £25 for a scan but can work out a package deal if more scans are wanted. If location is more than a 5 mile radius from my address then £1.00 per mile charge will be added.

Micro Chipping

Microchipping service is for when the pups are old enough. Price is £10 per microchip but again if you have had a scan from me a package deal can be drawn up. I am fully trained for both scanning and microchipping and I have full insurance with Hiscox.

This service has proved popular with both breeders and one off pregnancies aswell.

Please note that it is now a legal requirement to have your dog microchipped and came into effect in April 2016.

The benefit of my service is that it can be done in the comfort of your own home rather than the challenging scenario of transporting a whole litter to the vets.
