Teddy Murphy – Special Dog

Hi, my name is Teddy and i’m a long haired German Shepherd. I have been with Specialist Dog Training since 2007.

Back in the day, Jackie and I trained along-side the elite ex-police dog handler teams, and we loved learning the search, tracking and agility skills that they taught us.

I’ve slowed down a bit now, but I still have an important role here at Specialist Dog Training in Kent. I assist Jackie by guiding nervous dogs and helping them overcome their fears.

I also share some top training tips on a regular basis with all the dog owners out there who need a bit of guidance.

It goes without saying that I have the social skills that makes Specialist Dog Training proud.

Bear Murphy – Special Puppy

Hi, my name is Bear and I’m a long haired German Shepherd puppy!

I have only been with Specialist Dog Training here in Kent for a short while, but I am already learning the ropes. I am proud to have completed the Specialist Dog Training First Paws puppy training course with flying colours and i’m currently still undergoing my media training because I can sometimes get distracted from the job in hand (but I am getting really good at featuring in the puppy training videos!).

I have also learned not to stray too far away from Jackie. Sometimes it’s hard to resist temptation but I have a lot to live up to with my big brother Teddy. He helps by showing me how to be a well-behaved dog.

I will be helping Teddy with some ‘tips of the week’ but these will be aimed at all the youngsters out there, so be sure to look out for my ‘Bear’s Big Puppy Tips’ and let’s make our owners proud!

Our one-to-one dog training course is perfect for owners who love the convenience of lessons in their own home and for dogs who don’t learn well in a class environment. One to one dog training is also an ideal solution for certain dog training needs as they are more effectively and appropriately addressed in private lessons, rather than in a group dog training class.

Jackie will devised a personal dog training package for you and your dog, a package that is tailored and customised to your exact needs and consists of three lessons spread over a 5-6-week period, known as life skills training, setting you and your dog up with essential skills, knowledge, commands and techniques to last a lifetime. All training will involve Jackie teaching you how to best communicate with your dog, without using fear, submission and intimidation but using reward-based techniques.

Develop expertise and confidence by immersing yourself in this one-to-one dog training course and techniques to master the skill of overcoming your problem areas. Helping several owners with their dog training needs, Jackie will develop a dog training programme and plan to help you conquer the problems and achieve your end results. Examples of commonly occurred problems and where Jackie can help you include: pulling on the lead, housetraining, new dog ownership, not returning when called, basic manners and obedience, chewing, jumping up at guests in the house, aggressive behaviour, child and dog relationships, new baby or pet introductions, excessive barking, mouthing and nipping, advanced manners and obedience, pulling towards other people and more!

Everyone, owners and dogs, no matter the age, breed or size, are welcome to sign up to this course as this dog training package will set you on the right path, with your own dog training expert to help you with your training, a tailored dog training programme to help you achieve your end results and goals with support in between sessions.
