We have many years experience in caring for cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, rabbits…. any many other household pets! Sheffield Pet Sitters is a friendly, reliable, professional service based in Millhouses, Sheffield.

We are police checked, fully insured with Protectivity.com and transport dogs for walks, and visit your home in our unmarked cars, so not alerting people that you are away. Your pet is an important part of your family therefore you need a service that is committed to looking after them with the same care and attention you would do yourself.

We are lifelong pet owners and animal lovers. We currently have 2 cats, a long haired chihuahua and a rabbit (who live quite harmoniously under one roof!). Our rabbit runs free in our house and quite skillfully uses the cat flap to get out into the garden. Over the years we have had many dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters and goldfish as well.

While you are away on holiday, we can move your post out of view, leave lights on in the evening or move curtains each day so it doesn’t give the impression that you’re away. We can even put your bins out and water your plants. This is a service that is free of charge if you book pet sitting.

Before we start any of the services, we will organise a convenient time to come and meet you and your pet in your own home. We complete a questionnaire during this visit relating to your pets health, behaviour, feeding habits and to generally understand as much information as we can to help us whilst we care for them when you are not there.

Dogs are great companions but it may be difficult to fit your work in around having a dog or your situation may have changed. We are able to help out on a regular basis or on occasional walks to suit your working week

Your dog will enjoy the exercise and fun of a group walk with other dogs, where they can bound or sniff around going at their own pace. We wipe muddy paws on return to your house. We can also feed and refresh water if required. Your dog will be transported in our unmarked cars, and are clipped in for safety to ensure they only get out when it is safe & they are on their lead. We walk in local parks which are safe areas away from main roads. If you can’t get back to let your dog out or if they’re ill/injured, we can pop in and let them out for a quick wee in the garden.

Your pets miss the attention you usually give them when you are at home. We try to give them as much as we can when visiting them. Visits last for 15 mins and it’s up to you whether you choose 1 or 2 visits per day.

Most animals prefer to stay in their own home environment when you are away. We have many years of looking after pets such as guinea pigs, rabbits, mice, rats, goldfish and hamsters.

We are happy to put your bins out, draw curtains, put lights on and move your post when you are away to give the impression that the house is lived in. We can also water your plants whilst you’re away!
