My service is just what you need, making sure there is as little disruption for your pets as possible while you are away from them. I will also draw your curtains, put your wheelie bin out etc if needed
When I look after your pet I will send you pictures and an update via Whats App for your peace of mind.

My service is a professional alternative to catteries and kennels, making sure there is as little disruption for your pets as possible while you are away from them. Plus keeping your pets in their own environment and maintaining their own routines helps them to stay happy and reduces stress.
When I look after your pet I will send you pictures via Whats App, email or facebook, leaving you worry free on your holiday.
About us
Hello! My name is Melanie and I’m the owner of Safe Hands Pet Care. My lifelong passion for animals has led me to pursue my dream of owning and running my own pet care business which includes a very comprehensive animal care service for all pets except for larger animals such a donkeys, ponies and horses.
I have a wealth of experience with a variety of pets from a very young age at home and my family have always owned pets including dogs, cats, budgies, rabbits, guinea pigs and one of the more exotic animals, a lizard. More recently I have been the proud owner of two lovely cats and have provided a temporary home for rescue cats and pets of my friends and colleagues when they have been on holiday.
I am registered with NARPS and have recently studied and passed my examinations to complete the National Association of Registered Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers business course. I am also a volunteer dog walker at Friends of Birkenhead Kennels and have been doing this for over 5 years.
Based on the Wirral, Safe Hands Pet Care is fully insured and I am DBS checked. I am a very caring and approachable person and am always happy to talk to you about you and your pets requirements.
I am happy to travel to any area on the Wirral. If you are unsure whether I cover your area please do not hesitate to contact me.

All information held by Safe Hands Pet Care is only used to provide you with an efficient Dog Walking or Pet Sitting Service. All client information is kept confidential and I will not discuss or pass on any information about you or your pet to a third party without your direct prior permission.
Services
DOG WALKING
I will visit your house as agreed and take your dog for a long walk – 30 minutes or an hour (dependant on the booking) to your nominated local venue. I will send you a picture taken during the walk via WhatsApp. On return to your house I will towel down your dog and refresh water bowls with fresh tap water. Please note that if you have a preferred dog walking area that is not local to your house an additional charge will be incurred.
POP IN VISITS
I am able to offer a pop-in service for your pets where I can pop into your home for a 30 minute or 1 hour visit at your preferred time during the day or early evening. This service is mainly for cats, kittens and small (caged) animals. I will feed, clean cages and change cat litter etc. This service can also be provided when you are on holiday or at another event.
DAY SIT / EVENING SIT
Got a hot date, want to attend a wedding or evening out with friends and don’t want to leave your pets unattended? I will sit in your home and care for them, particularly useful for kittens, puppies or other pets that you don’t want to leave unattended.
HOLIDAY CARE PACKAGE
Normally for clients that don’t want to put their dog in kennels. I will stay in your home overnight and look after your dog in the comfort of their own home. This includes 2 walks each day. As well as caring for your much loved dog I can put bins out, draw curtains, water plants etc, giving added security to you home whilst you are away. Regular updates will be sent via WhatsApp or Email.
