Bespoke purpose built family run luxury boarding kennels just 20 minutes drive from Newcastle under Lyme or 7 minutes from Market Drayton, Madeley and Woore set in 7 acres of countryside.
These Luxury boarding kennels have been built to the most up to date standards and beyond to comply with the animal boarding establishment act and were officially opened in April 2019.
We set out to create the highest quality dog boarding and day-care centre and with only 16 rooms we are geared to give a very personal one on one attention. Our goal is to give your loved dog the ultimate care and attention that they deserve, whilst giving you the assurance that all their needs are being catered for whilst in our dedicated and professional care. For your piece of mind the building is covered and monitored by 24hr CCTV as well as being fully alarmed and fitted with the most up to date fire detection system.
We have soothing background music on all day to make them feel more at home and this is turned off once they are all tucked up in bed for the night. We encourage you to bring your own dogs food for the entirety of their stay as this keeps them on the exact same diet as they have at home, but we have lots of treats to reward them with so no need to bring any of those unless you wanted to, and all food and water bowls are supplied so no need bring those either.
Our guests are let out of their rooms five times a day and socialisation with our other guests is an important part of what we do here at Ranworth Lodge (Subject to suitability and your permission). For this we need a high staff to guest ratio to enable us to do this successfully, but your dogs will love the care, attention and play whilst in our care and we think its worth it. They just love to roam or run in our secure fields and for those very energetic dogs we also have our agility paddock. And we do our best to send you a video of your dog/s at play so you can see how happy and relaxed they are whilst with us.
We also offer doggie day care from 8.30am til 6.00pm. (Sundays and Bank Holidays 9.00am til 5.00pm)
Having been dog owners ourselves for well over 20 years we understand that all dogs are different and our philosophy is to treat your pet just how we would treat our own dog, with care, love and attention. Every dog is individual but one thing they all thrive on is routine, and Sarah our daughter whom forms part of the team here at Ranworth Lodge can’t wait to welcome in our guests, Sarah is fully qualified to subsidiary diploma level 3 in animal management after studying at Reaseheath college, this includes animal care/feeding/behaviour and communication amongst others, she along with Elaine are also RSPCA trained in pet first aid and medication requirements. David and Mark have been trained in injection procedures and Hero and Barney our cocker spaniels who just wants to make new friends.
We believe that Ranworth Lodge Kennels are one of the finest luxury boarding kennels and have been built to a standard that far exceeds anything that you’ve experienced before and we welcome you to pay us a visit to see for yourself first hand, No appointments are necessary as long as its within our usual opening times, but after 10.00am is preferred as prior to that it’s a busy time with feeding and walking schedules. The latest viewing time is 5.00pm on Monday to Saturday and 4.00pm on Sunday (Bank Holidays)
On behalf of the Ranworth Lodge Team thank you for looking at our site and we hope we can be of service to you and your four legged friends in the not too distant future. Follow us on social media for the latest updates and check out our customer reviews on google.
The kennels have been constructed from the highest quality materials and all internal walls of the rooms are constructed of Polypropylene so they can be easily cleaned, and wont harbour bacteria like traditional kennel surfaces and they are all arranged down single corridors meaning dogs do not face each other, preventing the build up of tension and noise, allowing them a relaxed and stress free stay with us, we have set aside three rooms specially for older or nervous/anxious dogs so please let us know should you like one of those reserving when booking your dogs stay.
In addition to our large secure field where the dogs can run around til their hearts content, we also have a seperate agility paddock with an obstacle course. This features jumps, balancing bridge and tyre tunnels to run through, with lots of balls and frisbees to chase. They can if they want to just wander around and chill at their own pace. We will always find the time for that cuddle they crave as well.
We are a kennels that fully interacts with the guests, all dogs boarding with us are out of their rooms 5 times a day: Early Morning, Mid Morning, Lunch Time, Early Evening and Late Evening. This includes two good walks a day all within our 7 acre site, they are never taken off the premises, there are also opportunities to play in our 2 metre high fenced paddock as well as walks in the woods and around the lake (On a Lead). We believe the more time they spend outside playing and wandering around the more they will enjoy their stay at Ranworth Lodge.
An integral part of our design and welfare was to have large floor to ceiling glass frontages to each room (No Bars) giving a bright and homely feel along with an attached fully enclosed play area to each room giving your dogs a feeling of safety and security but within a calming environment, and a constant temperature all year round.
The entire building is fully insulated not only for warmth but also for sound, and when they want to chill or sleep they have a choice of beds, from the traditional baskets to Kurunda and Hi K9 beds, both raised from the floor to evenly distribute their weight giving your dog no pressure points but ideal joint support. All beds and baskets are covered with fleecy Vet–Bed cushions and blankets, you are more than welcome to bring your own blankets/cushions should you wish to make your dogs stay more homely.
We even have bunk beds for those dogs from the same household that like to share a room as well as adjoining rooms for families of up to 4 dogs from the same household.
