For most Dogs and some Cats, regular grooming is essential to avoid a number of issues such as, painful matting, prevention of ear infections, spot checks for fleas and ticks and identification of any abnormal growths.

Purrfect Paws Grooming Services provide professional Dog Grooming services and Pet Spa treatments.

We provide everything from a quick nail clip to a full groom and pamper.

We also offer Cat and Rabbit Grooming Services.

Purrfect Paws Grooming offers a purpose built cabin at home, for the least stressful possible environment to your furbabies. We only use the most high quality, vegan, all-natural products. They contain no nasties, no artificial ingredients and they are only ever tested on humans, plus they are tearless. Products suitable for even the most sensitive skin. (if your pet needs to bring their own prescribed shampoo, I can use this for you)

Dog Grooming Services

On your first visit to Purrfect Paws Grooming, I would like to get to know a little about your Dog and your requirements for their groom. I will spend a short time discussing with you exactly what you would like, any health issues your Dog may have, or if they are nervous about particular things, to ensure I can give your Dog the best treatment and cause them as little stress as possible during their groom.

My pricing for Dog are all from and there are many factors which determine the level of work and time that it will take to groom them. The price of the groom will always be agreed before I start, but I cannot give an exact price over the phone or message as I will need to assess each Dog individually. These factors include but are not limited to; size/breed of your Dog, coat condition, thickness and length of the coat and Dog’s behaviour

Consent forms are required to be signed on your first visit. For any “shave offs” due to severe matting, I will also require a consent form to be signed. To ensure you and your Dog are getting the best service possible, I will keep a record of any work carried out for future visits.

Dematting

Purrfect Paws Grooming does not offer de-matting. If your Dogs fur is matted or knotted and I am unable to get a comb through it, then it will need to be clipped off. Trying to de-matt will cause unnecessary pain to your Dog and it will pull at their delicate skin underneath which could cause tears to the skin.

I will provide a consent form to sign for this and an aftercare guide for their skin. Leucillin antiseptic spray will be used on any hotspots on the skin or any abrasions on the skin that have been caused from the matting when clipped off.

Puppy Packages (up to 6 months)

It is really important that your puppy has a positive enjoyable experience of being groomed from an early age, as this will ensure that they will continue to enjoy being groomed both at home by you and here at Purrfect Paws Grooming.

We offer puppy introduction to grooming sessions, so that your puppy can gradually get used to the process and we can explain how you can care for their coat at home, in between visits to the salon. Between 12-15 weeks of age is when a puppy should first visit or at least one week after their second lot of vaccinations.

I will work with your pup and only do what they allow me to. Their groom may not be perfect the first few times as it’s a new and sometimes scary experience for them, but your pups will learn that the grooming experience isn’t a scary one soon enough.

Please note the price of a puppy groom will depend on the size/breed of your puppy, not their age.

Hi my name is Kirsty and I own Purrfect Paws Grooming. My passion in life has always been animals.

I have extensive experience and knowledge working with many different animals, in a variety of environments over the years and have never been without my own pets.

Fully qualified, fully insured and Canine First Aid trained, your Dogs, Cats and Rabbits will be in very safe hands with me.

Experience

I have a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management and Care.

I have a Diploma in Professional Dog Grooming.

I previously worked in a Dog & Cat Groomers for 3 years. As well as this, I volunteered at a rescue centre in Cyprus with Dogs, Cats and Horses for 5 weeks, rehabilitating and caring for their needs.

I also have extensive experience working with other animals whilst at college in a variety of settings.

Rabbit Grooming Services

On your first visit to Purrfect Paws Grooming, I would like to get to know a little about your Rabbit and your requirements for their groom. I will spend a short time discussing with you exactly what you would like, any health issues your Rabbit may have or if they are particularly nervous or skittish, to ensure I can give your Rabbit the best treatment and cause them as little stress as possible during their groom.

Brushing your Rabbit especially long-haired breeds is essential to keep them comfortable. Regular brushing keeps your buns coat in great condition, preventing the formation of matts, which can irritate the skin and lead to infections or the deadly disease flystrike. Rabbits also cannot vomit, so if your bunny ingests lots of fur it can become trapped inside and cause a blockage. This can lead to a potentially fatal condition called GI stasis, which can very quickly kill your Rabbit if you do not seek veterinary attention immediately. Rabbits are prey animals and do not often show signs of being ill or poorly until it is often too late, so checking your buns daily is essential.

By keeping your rabbit’s fur regularly brushed and helping remove excess fur during their moults, you can greatly reduce their chances of developing GI stasis and also increase their health, happiness and quality of life.

Full Groom

From £25 depending on size/breed of your Rabbit, condition, length & thickness of their fur and time needed depending on general overall condition. Giant breeds from £45.

For when your bun needs a full pamper from their Ears to their Cotton Tail.

For when you are fine to groom your bun yourself at home, but need some help getting any matting out.
