‘Lady & the Hound’ is a tailored Canine Care and Coaching service providing puppy and adult dog training classes, private tuition, UK Sniffer Dogs scentwork classes and Canine Hoopers agility classes. We also sell a variety of carefully chosen pet products and training aids available to purchase in our very own online ‘Dog Shop’.

Founded in 2017 by Imogen Haley after she became a dog owner herself, LATH aims to help owners raise and coach their dogs to become well adjusted domesticated companions in an environment which feels safe and friendly to both dog and owner. We believe it is important for us to work in partnership with you and your dog in a kind and positive way and to achieve this we use only ‘reward based’ training methods. Lady & the Hound employs a team of Associate Trainers whom are all certified to teach LATH classes and whom are also experts in their own specialist areas of dog training.

Imogen lives in Walton-on-Thames with her two dogs Albert and Rita and is a registered training instructor with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC – ATI) and a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT, membership number 01514). She is also a certified tutor for Puppy School UK, UK Sniffer Dogs Instructor (UKSD), Canine Hoopers World Instructor (CHWI), canine first aid trained and a certified Raw Advisor for Natures Menu.

Lady & the Hound is based in Surrey, covering most postcode locations within the M25. Our Puppy Schools are located in TW10, TW12, TW16, KT8, KT12 and KT13.

I have been surrounded by animals for most of my life and grew up looking after my own pet rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, cats and several family dogs (as a child, my parents would regularly find me asleep in our Collie’s bed when they came down for breakfast…she was good at cuddles!)

I currently live in Walton-on-Thames with my French Bulldog Albert and Boston Terrier Rita, whom I rescued from a previous life in a puppy farm where she was used as an intensive breeding dog. It was through my own experience as an owner, whilst training Albert at Puppy School that I became interested in ‘reward based training’. After seeing the benefit of positive reinforcement during the course Albert and I did, I decided I wanted to help share the merits of teaching these methods with other new puppy owners and so trained to become a Puppy School Tutor myself.

I also offer private tuition, adolescent and adult dog follow-on classes, UK Sniffer Dogs scentwork classes and am a Canine Hoopers World Instructor.

Other interests include dog nutrition and I make my own raw dog food and organic natural treats. I’m also a keen supporter of various animal welfare charities and regularly participate in and help organise different events to help raise funds for these great causes.
