WHY CHOOSE PUPPY EDUCATION?
QUALIFIED DOG TRAINER
Qualified dog trainer with a relaxed attitude. It’s all about learning at you & your puppy’s pace. No judgement or criticisms made!
I am a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers & hold a masters degree in animal behaviour from Lincoln University.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCED
Having run over 4 years of classes and private tuition I’ve met just about every breed and seen every situation you can think of! Lots of my clients come through recommendations. Prior to setting up as a dog trainer I also worked in kennels at Dogs Trust for 2.5 years.
HOME OF PUPPY SCHOOL SOLIHULL
Puppy School is a nationwide organisation set up by renowned dog behaviourist Gwen Bailey in order to provide the best start in life to puppies throughout the UK. Puppy School chooses only the best to tutor young puppies & their owners throughout those all important first steps of puppy ownership. Therefore I am very proud to have been a Puppy School tutor since 2017.
POSITIVE TRAINING
Having an in-depth knowledge about dog behaviour I’m able to avoid some of the pitfalls of dog training such as resorting to forceful methods that may frighten your puppy. This is achieved through the correct use of positive reinforcement or in simplified terms rewarding good behaviour. This keeps training fun and relaxed for both you and your dog. Positive reinforcement training however is quite a bit more complicated than just using rewards therefore I am here to guide and support you in the best use of these techniques during training.
Tamsin & her husband live in Hurley, Atherstone with their dog Milo a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross breed who was previously a long term resident at the dogs trust. Sadly Milo passed away in 2022. Tamsin had successfully reduced Milo’s reactivity around other dogs from 500m+ to being able to ignore other dogs at close proximity. Milo was then able to enjoy a life of country walks, belly rubs, snuggling & snacks and is very much missed.
