John Michael Galloway is a fully approved Instructor with the Academy of Dog Training and Behaviour. A former K9 Runner and a seasoned professional dog walker of ten years’ experience.
John has studied wolf behaviour, ecology and conservation and researched stray and feral dogs of South America.

The mission of Poise Dog Training is to offer professional help in addressing and positively modifying your dog’s unwanted behaviours without the use of fear. Dog training is a critical part of creating – and maintaining – the balanced and obedient dog with whom you want to share your life and home!
Dog behaviour consultation
The behaviour consultation is conducted in your home and will last 2 hours approximately. You present the problem and I will identify the cause. I will then help you understand why your dog is misbehaving, and I will demonstrate the methods needed to modify your dog’s behaviour. Following the consultation, further advice can be required via phone or email. If necessary, follow-up sessions can be arranged.
Dog obedience training
The initial 90-minute obedience session will be conducted in your home, where I can get to know you and your dog and begin training. Poise obedience training covers a broad array of commands that every dog should know. Some of these commands include the following: Attention to name, recall, sit stay, down stay, lead training. If you decide to continue with one-on-one Poise obedience training, 1-hour lessons can be scheduled in your home, before progressing to a local park or public setting.
Puppy training
Poise dog training offers one to one puppy training and advice in the comfort of your home. In this 2-hour session we will work on all common puppy issues – including chewing, hand mouthing, nipping/biting, toilet-related problems. Other skills taught include: The sit, coming back when called, body language, how to greet people without jumping up, crate training.

Dog Behaviour Consultations for Unwanted K9 Behaviours
2-Hour In-Home Consultation: £55 (follow-up advice available via phone or email)
1-Hour Follow-up Sessions (if needed): £27.
Dog Obedience Training
In-Home, One on One Obedience Training; Progressing to Local Parks, Public Areas.
Initial 90-minute Lesson £35; then 1-hour Lessons at £27.
Puppy Training
2-hour In-Home Session: £45 (follow-up advice available via phone or email).
This Service is Suitable for Puppies Aged 8 weeks to 6 Months.
