Pets, Homes & Gardens – Guildford & Godalming

Be the first to review

Welcome to Pets Homes & Gardens run by Nick Ridley

As an experienced animal owner, I understand the potential concerns and difficulties you
face when you have to leave your much loved pets behind when away from home.
Whether it’s a holiday, business trip, sudden emergency or simply a night off, you want
to know your pets are:

  • Safe
  • Well cared for so they’re happy and content, and
  • In the care of someone you can trust giving you peace of mind

What does Nick provide?

Exactly the love, care and attention your pets require. As an animal owner and now running a professional and successful pet sitting business, he provides exactly the care you would want for your pets, whatever the reason for you needing to be away from home.

So the question everyone wants to know is what will it cost?

“I think you’ll be very pleasantly surprised,” he notes, “You’re getting a personal and dedicated service that will keep your pets safe, happy and content, and at a price that offers fantastic value. As a pet owner myself, knowing what this means to my animals is the most important consideration – they come first.”

Nick is a professional pet sitter and as such is fully insured and police checked; to find out more about the services he provides, please look through this website using the menu at the top of the page. Dog Walking

Dogs, regardless of age or size, require regular exercise to maintain their health and their ‘joie de vivre’. Their natural energy needs to be expressed by stimulating outdoor activity, otherwise it can lead to boredom and sometimes this leads to behavioural issues.

So, for whatever reason, if you are finding it difficult to manage the daily dog walks, I am more than happy for you to contact me to arrange a regular walk or to book walks on an ad-hoc basis. Please do feel free to get in touch at short notice for a last minute dog walk if you’re stuck and I will try to help you if I can!

I don’t offer pack walks, only 1:1 walks or walks with dogs from the same household as I believe that mass walks are not always a positive experience for every dog and this can cause behavioural issues as well as being hard to safely manage. I offer a very personalised experience for each doggie; they will receive my full attention and have constant interaction throughout the walk as I don’t wear headphones or chat on my mobile. For complete reassurance that all is well, I always provide a text and/or photo after each walk to let you know how it went if you’re not in on my return for a debrief!

No two dogs are the same so all my dog walks are tailored to their individual needs, whether this is to increase fitness and stamina, focus on weight loss, play in the park with a ball or frisbee, to experience new environments or to walk in a quiet location away from other dogs if they are reactive or anxious. I am happy to take your dog in my car to offer a variety of stimulating off road walks in woods and fields around your local area, or to follow their normal walking routine if that is the most suitable approach.

I am fully insured and DBS checked and I am part of a successful professional pet organisation that has been in business for over 15 years. For safety, I always walk dogs on a lead unless we are in agreement for them to be walked off lead and I am confident that they will return to me when called.
