Welcome to Pet Sitting Finchley

Pet Sitting Finchley is owned by Laura and run together with the support of a small team of assistants. We are fully insured to look after your dogs, cats and other small animals.

Laura and the teams’ pet services include: dog walking, dog day care, cat and pet visits, puppy care and house sitting.

Looking for a reliable dog walker in Finchley? Our Dog Walking and Dog Day Care service gives you the freedom of a day out while we let your dog(s) out! We also provide a Puppy Care service.

Based in East Finchley, Laura and the team can help with most pet needs in the areas of East Finchley, North Finchley, Fortis Green, Hampstead Garden Suburbs, and Muswell Hill. Please do call if you are just outside of these areas as we may still be able to help you.

Our Cat Visiting service offers you the flexibility of allowing your cats to stay at home while you’re away. It can be a very anxious time for you and your cats when you’re apart from one another, that’s why we’re here to make sure that your cats are well looked after in the familiar surroundings of their own home.

In addition to looking after your cats and dogs we can also feed and care for any other animals you may have including mice, ferrets, gerbils, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, ducks, cattle, reptiles, chickens etc.

Dog Day Care

Doggy day care is perfect for owners who can’t be with their dogs for longer periods of time. From 10am – 4pm, your dog will be out and about, playing, running and having fun with other dogs.

Pick up/drop offs included too, your dog will be involved in 3 walks plus some relax time, water and healthy snacks to keep them fuelled up. Meaning that when you return home from work or a day out, your pup will have had their exercise needs taken care of, so you can relax with a chilled out pooch.

10am – 4pm is perfect for normal office hours or for when you’re out fo the day!

Handy Tip

You can tell a cat’s mood by watching his tail. Tail upright, happy; tail moving languidly, keep petting me; tail low, twitching erratically, I’m on the prowl; tail swishing rapidly, beware and leave me alone. If you’ve ever been surprised when a cat you’re petting suddenly grabs you angrily, you missed a tail tale: The unhappy twitch of the tail tip would have told you to stop petting, now.

Dog Walking

Looking for a reliable, trustworthy dog walker? We’re here to help with all your dog walking needs in the Finchley area.

We offer three 1 hour group walks on weekdays (these times include collection and drop offs):

  • 10am-12pm
  • 12pm-2pm
  • 2pm-4pm

Dog Walking Charges:

1 hour group walk (with up to 6 dogs):

New Prices from 1 March 2023.

  • One dog – £17.00
  • Two dogs – £28.00

Please note that ALL dog walks are tailored to our clients needs and walked in a group of no more than six at a time.

Bank Holidays will be charged at double the standard rate.

Handy Tip:

Walking in front of your dog allows you to be seen as the pack leader. Conversely, if your dog controls you on the walk, he’s the pack leader. You should be the first one out the door and the first one in. Your dog should be beside or behind you during the walk.

When you get home, don’t stop leading. Have your dog wait patiently while you put away his lead or take off your shoes.

One of the keys to lasting health is balanced nutrition. Keep your dog on a high quality diet that addresses their specific health needs, age, breed and activity level. Regular exercise will keep your dog in lean body condition while providing a bonding experience. Work with your veterinarian to create the right nutrition and exercise plan for your dog.

House Sitting

Do you have dogs that don’t like kennels and would prefer to stay at home? Or maybe you have a few pets that need to be looked after and it’s more convenient for you to have a professional pet sitter stay at your home while you’re away.

Our house sitting service is ideal for pets who need more 1-2-1 attention than our Pet Sitting or Dog Walking service offers. We can live in your house while you’re away, walk your dog(s), feed your rabbits, look after your cats, take care of your birds and any other pets you may have. In addition we can also water your plants and put your bins out as required!

House sitting:

New Prices from 1 March 2023.

  • £45.00 per day (1 dog)
  • £68.00 per day (2 dogs)
