Dog Walking Services

Welcome to our bespoke dog walking services.  We provide Dog Walking in the Scarborough area. Dogs are usually walked individually, unless they are from the same household.  Walks can be booked for 30 mins, half hour, or for an hour in duration.

Please see price page

For regular on-going walks each week, discounts  may be available, please ask Jane for details.

We also offer a Pop-in service for dogs and puppies to visit your home to feed, or toilet your pets.

Puppies

When people get a new puppy usually customers start with the Pop-in service and book 3 Pop-ins per day, for us to come to your home to care for your pup.  This involves feeding, changing puppy pads, and play time.

After they have had their vaccinations, then we usually continue with visits to learn and walk your pup and this can involve puppy socialisation with others.  From 6 months we can then offer the dog walking service for on-going walks.

Dogs Home Visits Service

Dogs Home Visits Service in your home

We provide a Home Visits Service to cater for all your dogs needs. We do not board dogs unfortunately.

Pop-in home visits – This can be a number of Pop-in visits, which are up to 15 minutes in duration and can be to let your dog out into the garden, feed your dog, or to stroke or play with your dog or puppy. Pease see our price lists for Pop-in 1 visit per day, Pop-in 2 visits per day, or Pop-in 3 visits a day.

Pet sitting at your home– Our Dog Sitting Service is a happy alternative to kennels. We can sit for as many dogs as you like as long as they are manageable. You can book as many hours as you need and this service is priced on an hourly basis. We can sit any time of day, or evening. While there, we can feed, play with or toilet your dog.

Night sleeper at your home – We also offer over night care, which is reasonably priced, and works well if booked in conjunction with visits during the day.

24 hour break packages at your home – Sometimes people book a combination of Pop-ins, Pet sitting and Night sleeps if they want to go away for 24 or 48 hours.  This can work for one – three days, but isn’t appropriate for dogs who need people around them more, whereas cats would be okay as they are more independent.

A happy alternative to kennels with home visits

Having these visits can ensure your pet care stays within his/her routine, while you are at work or away.

By being at home in familiar surroundings the dog is more likely to be settled, happy and readily accept visits from us.

We can provide that essential companionship, care and fun your dogs need.  This may also include giving any medication that is prescribed by a vet, or cleaning their exercise area

Dogs prefer to relax in their own homes rather than in boarding kennels. When away from their own environment they can become stressed and withdrawn. Especially dogs that have previously been ill-treated, rescued and then re-homed. Also by staying in their own home they are at less risk of picking up kennel cough, fleas etc.

We do not provide boarding for dogs, as I have my own cats and dogs at my home.

If you have multiple animals, the services we offer can work out cheaper than kennels.

Having a pet sitter in your own home also gives you added security, while you are away.

Bird Boarding

We board a vast array of birds, parrots  etc at our secure premises.

Whilst staying at Pet Assist Boarding your pets will have the best care and have regular handling and exercise throughout their stay.  The boarding areas are heated and  indoor.

Birds come in their own cages and owners supply food etc for the duration of their stay.

We do have our own dogs and cats, but your birds will not be left with our cats or dogs, unaccompanied during their stay.

We are happy to support North Yorkshire Parrot Rescue. They are in need short or long term foster homes, donations.

birds in your own home or boarding at Pet Assist premises.

So if you are going on holiday or working late we are here to help
