Medication

We do not charge for administering veterinary prescribed tablets; please ensure the dosage is clearly marked in an airtight container.

Steve and Donna have both owned dogs since childhood as both families have owned family pets, Steve’s family preferring smaller breeds from Jack Russell’s, Corgis and Westies, Donna’s family a variety of rescue dogs large and small.

Donna developed her love of dogs and worked in a family run Kennels for several years part-time whilst at school.

As a couple we have owned both rescue dogs and Golden Retrievers currently we have three beautiful Golden Retrievers Millie, Dylan and River who we are hoping to breed from. We have looked after many dogs belonging to friends and family welcoming them into our home.

Over the years the idea to offer some sort of alternative to kennel boarding has become not just a dream but a passion and now we have made that passion a reality.

Our home is warm and comfortable; our dogs have access to all areas so wherever they lay their heads is their home.

We want your dog to feel like it is part of our family while staying with us so daily exercise, walks, fun, rest and relaxation are all on the itinerary.

You are welcome to contact us for more information or even arrange a visit to discuss your dogs needs.

All dogs to be up to date with vaccinations including:

  • Kennel Cough

  • Flea and tick treatments

  • Worming treatment

We will need to hold vaccination records whilst your dog is with us. This is so we have the relevant documents should your dog need to be seen by a vet whilst in our care.

Any existing medical conditions can be catered for but any medications needed must be provided by families and clearly labelled in a sealed container i.e. a plastic box with lid, and a label with the clear instructions for administering these medications.

Special dietary requirements can be catered for again with prior arrangement.

It is not advisable to board puppies under the age of six months due to their immune systems not being fully developed.

Unfortunately we are unable to board dogs that are aggressive towards cats. If you are unsure how your dog reacts around cats we require an introductory day or part day board to be conducted prior to your dogs full stay.

You will need to bring:

  • Sufficient food for the length of the stay

  • Your dog’s vaccination card, showing both the annual boosters and Kennel Cough vaccines.  We are required to hold this during your pets stay

No dog will be allowed to stay without valid vaccinations and up to date vaccination certificate.

We may ask you for copies of vaccination certificates for our records.

Though not essential if you would like to bring treats, toys or blankets with your dog, please do.  Something that smells of home can help with settling in.

If you bring bedding, make it something we can wash for you if it needs it!

We will need your vet’s name and phone number in case of emergency.

If required, please bring any medications in a clearly labelled and sealed container i.e.: plastic box with lid.  Include clear instructions for administering these medications

Please ensure that your dog is fully up to date with a worming, flea and tick program before their stay.

No dog will be allowed to stay without confirmation that you dog is up to date.

If we see evidence of fleas, ticks or worms then your dog will be treated and you will be charged when you collect of your dog.  The cost depends on the size of the dog.

We have 24-hour access to a local vet. In the unlikely event of illness your dog will receive veterinary attention.
