My Story
Firstly, welcome to my website!
My name is Lauren and I am the proud owner of Paws Pet Services in Winchester.
In 2011, I left college after just 3 months and went straight into starting a career in hospitality. Starting at the bottom and working my way up to a management position within a few years. As we all know, jobs like these involve a lot of time inside, long unsociable hours and high stress levels!
In 2016, I finally decided to pursue my dream career, caring for people’s pets. Later in the year I started up my own company, Paws Pet Services, to provide dog walking and pet visits. I started to receive requests about dog boarding, however I was unable to have dogs at my home due to already having animals of my own. I then decided to start offering pet /house sitting, meaning people could have their pets stay at home and not go through the stress of staying in kennels/cattery.
I have owned dogs, cats and small furry creatures throughout my whole life. They are members of our family and they bring us so much happiness. I want to provide the highest quality pet care for everyone, in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. I will care for your pets as though they are my own.
I am fully insured and animal first aid trained. I also have a Diploma in Dog Walking and a Diploma in Dog Behaviour.
SERVICES
DOG WALKING
As all owners will know, walks are an essential part of their dog’s daily routine. Walks provide mental stimulation, physical exercise and socialisation.
They will create relationships with other dogs and get to explore the sights, smells and sounds of the world.
I walk at different locations everyday, meaning there’s lots of variety. This also gives your dog a great opportunity to build confidence and learn acceptable ways of interacting with one another. All walks include free pick up and drop off.
HOME VISITS
During the home visit, I will pop in to give your pet company, along with letting them out in the garden to go to the toilet. Each visit will last around 15 – 25 minutes.
Whilst I’m visiting, I am also able to check on any other pets in the home, water any plants and pick up the post.
This is a great care option for puppies and older dogs, that aren’t quite up for a big walk. Also great for cats and small animals whilst you are out for the day or away on holiday.
PET/HOME SITTING
Having a pet sitter is a great alternative to kennels and boarding, meaning your dogs can enjoy the comfort of their own home!
Each day includes their regular walks and feeding routine. I will treat your pet as though it is my own, making them feel comfortable and relaxed.
Using this service also provides extra security in your home while you’re away.
I will be in and out of the house between 10am – 3pm carrying out my regular walks and visits, however your dog will never be left for more than 3.5 hours at a time. Whilst I’m staying, I will also be able to pick up any post, take in deliveries, water any plants inside/in the garden, put the bins out and continuously maintain the cleanliness of your home.
