ABOUT US

Hi! My name is Ellen and I am the founder of Paws & More pet care services. My biggest passion in life has always been caring for animals and being an advocate for correct animal care and welfare. From working in a zoo as an Educational Officer/Zoo Keeper, working as a supervisor in a pet shop as well as volunteer work, I have lots of experience with all types of animals big, small, furry, feathery and scaley. I have owned animals all my life including Cats, Dogs, Snakes, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Giant African Snails, Millipedes and other insects, Fish and our beloved house Rabbits Corey and Rory.

After moving to Colchester in January 2020 with my partner and being thrown into a pandemic, it’s given me the time I needed to make a career out of my passion for animals. I’ve taken the time to complete a variety of courses including Pet First Aid, Level 3 Pet Sitting and Dog Walking, Animal  Behaviour and Welfare, Animal Psychology and Understanding Animal Welfare in Violent Homes. I have also combined my passion of animals with my love of art and can offer personalised pet portrait paintings, signs and cards.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED

We are always prepared for any pet’s needs and ensure that your pet will receive the best care and love. Their happiness and care is our priority and we strive to provide a service we would want our own pets to receive.

RELIABLE AND TRUSTWORTHY

When you live a busy life, it is hard to consistently provide the attention and care that your pets can demand. With years of satisfied owners and loved pets, you can rely on us to care for your pets when you’re away.

DOG WALKING

Walking keeps your dog’s brain active and is great stress relief for them. Dogs love to sniff and explore so make sure your dog has plenty of opportunity to just… well… be a dog! Not getting enough exercise can cause health problems, such as obesity, but can also lead to behavioural problems. Bored dogs are unhappy dogs – they can show their frustration by chewing, barking a lot, toileting in the house and over-grooming (licking too much). Book your dog walk below! Dog walking is Mon- Fri.
