Here with us they can enjoy the same care, attention and routine that they are used to at home. And with the spectacular Shropshire countryside right on our doorstep plus our secure garden and access to woodlands and miles of footpaths, you can be sure that your dogs can enjoy a wide variety of walks and activities during their stay.Â

Who we are…
I’m Jo and I’ll be looking after your dog during their stay. Brought up on a smallholding in mid Wales, I was surrounded by dogs and lots of other animals, developing a love for their company and a natural affinity with them. I’ve had dogs, cats and ponies of my own and have cared for other peoples’ pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, alpacas, horses and pigeons! I’m fully insured and am licensed by Shropshire Council, I am DBS checked and certified by NARPS UK, having completed their pet sitters’ and animal first aid course.Â
My two children aged 14 and 12 are also on hand to help with feeding, play and walks. Spending so much time with so many dogs, and having a dog of our own, has taught the children how to behave responsibly around them, exercising the right balance of caution and confidence they are able to respect dogs’ behaviours and needs. We will always discuss your dogs needs in detail with you so that we can ensure we can accommodate them safely.Â

We know you want the best care for your dog when you can’t be there to care for them yourself. So whether you’re going away on holiday, taking a business trip or perhaps having to spend a few days in hospital, let them relax in the comfort of our home and enjoy the family life they are used to.  Â
Home boarding for dogs
Â
Our home boarding service provides a stress free alternative to boarding kennels. Your dog will stay with us as part of our family, able to enjoy the freedom of our house and garden and the individual attention that they are used to at home. Your dog may share our home with other dogs being boarded at the same time but we always assess dogs before we board them so that we know they are sociable with others. We generally board between 2-4 dogs at any one time, although the number of dogs we accept at any one time will depend on the size, nature, needs and energy levels of the dogs!Â

We suggest that you bring your dog for a short visit, free of charge, before their stay to familiarise them with us and our home environment and to reassure you that they will have a comfortable stay. We’d also encourage you to bring your dogs’ own bedding and a sufficient amount of their normal feed for the duration of their stay, and if they have a favourite toy then do bring that too! We’ll talk to you beforehand to understand your dog’s likes, dislikes, behaviour traits, known commands and daily routine so that we know your dog as well as we can. All of this helps us to keep things as familiar as possible for them, ensuring their stay is as stress free and enjoyable as possible. And for your own reassurance we offer a free message service, providing you with up to 2 text or WhatsApp messages or emails per week keeping you posted with how your dog is settling in and enjoying their stay.Â
Dog walking
It can be hard to leave your dog at home while you go out to work for the day. Many dogs find the separation stressful and need an opportunity during the day to have some company, get outdoors, use up some pent up energy and to be able to fulfill their toileting needs!
Our dog walking service will enable you to be out at work with the knowledge that your dog is still getting the exercise and attention they need.
We usually walk dogs in small groups but will always use our judgement to ensure any dogs are happy with the others in the group. We will always discuss your preferences before we start walking your dog.
We will happily walk dogs off lead with your consent and where it is safe to do so once we have got to know your dog well.
We are passionate about keeping our environment clean and safe and so are happy to provide poop bags and will always clean up after your dogs on all our walks.
