Established in 2000 by Bob and Brenda Wilkinson, Old Orchard Farm Boarding Kennels was created to provide the very best in dog care. Having been involved with dogs as owners and breeders for many years, including showing at Crufts, Bob and Brenda took their love of dogs to a new level and decided to convert their farm buildings into new luxury boarding facilities for all breeds of dogs, large and small. Now approaching our fifteenth year we believe we offer the very best service for our customer’s furry companions with reliable, professionally trained staff whose number one priority is the loving care of your dog during their stay with us.

Boarding Kennels

We lovingly cater for any breed or size of dog and treat every dog as an individual. Our kennels are centrally heated with covered runs and soft music piped through for a calm and comfortable environment. We have large outdoor paddocks for free exercise. There is a strict cleaning regime in place to make sure your pet stays healthy and happy during their holiday with us. Beds and/or bedding provided if you wish, biscuits or treats at bedtime, chews and toys provided too. Dogs with special diets or medication welcome. Collection and delivery service available. Fully licensed and insured. Viewings welcomed, by appointment only.

At 7:30am each morning, we start letting some dogs out into the paddocks for a run around and thoroughly clean each and every kennel and run. Any damp or dirty bedding is replaced. We then prepare the dogs breakfast and any medications required while they are out, so when they return to their kennels, breakfast is waiting.

After breakfast, we then re-clean the kennels as required and after breakfast has had time to go down, the dogs are let back out into the paddocks for free exercise, on rotation so everyone gets their fair turn. Any cleaning requirements are dealt with as required during the day.

After lunch is prepared the dogs are generally walked for a short time before the afternoon play/exercise sessions. Again cleaning of kennels and checking, cleaning or replacing bedding continues during the afternoon.

After 4:30pm the dogs are brought back in to get ready for bed. All kennels are checked and biscuits/treats/dentastix are given.

Final checks are carried out at around 7:30pm to make sure all is well and the dogs are clean, happy and warm.

Our site is accessed via large electrically operated gates. All the fencing around the paddocks is secure and buried into the ground to stop any potential escapees thinking they can dig out! There are always staff on hand to keep an eye on things. There are also strict no unauthorised access rules in place. Rest assured we have everything in place to make sure your furry companions are safe and secure at all times.
