Notting Hill Cat Company

Be the first to review

Notting Hill Cat Company was established by Dominque Urquhart in 2013 after seeing first-hand the dilemma cat owners face when travelling, renovating or moving home: Who will look after Puss Cat?

For preoccupied friends, put upon family members and forgetful neighbours, offers to help can quickly become a chore.

At Notting Hill Cat Company our aim is to provide a stress free environment for your cat and a worry free solution for you.

The result is twofold:

Cat Sitting: For the independent kitty that doesn’t like to travel we offer a one to one service where we visit your cat once or twice daily in your home. As well as refreshing the litter and feeding and watering your cat/s, we also spend quality time with them. Playing, brushing and stroking your cat in accordance with your instructions and their demands. Communication is a priority and you will be sent regular photo/text updates.

Cat Boarding: For the pampered pussy cat that doesn’t like to be left alone, we offer a one to one home boarding service that caters for all your cat/s needs. Your cat will stay in the home of a Notting Hill Cat Nanny, who you are invited to meet beforehand.

With the freedom to roam in a comfortable environment and a caring shoulder to Meow on, day or night your kitty will soon be purring with happiness.

On the rare occasion that Dominique is unable to visit cat’s herself there is a small team of staff ready to step in. They are all hand picked, fully insured and proven cat lovers with impeccable references.

Cat Boarding

Cats are territorial animals and can sometimes find new environments stressful. Dealing with confined spaces and living at close quarters with unfamiliar cats, as is common in most catteries, is far from ideal. At Notting Hill Cat Company we board one cat/kitten (or two from the same household) at a time. We welcome your cat/kitten/s into our home with the minimum of fuss, allowing them the freedom and space to explore and relax.

How It works

Cat/s are boarded in either my home or the home of one of our  small team of hand picked, fully insured Cat Nannies. Once you have contacted us, if we have availability you are invited to meet myself or one of the team, at home. We are happy to answer any questions and eager to find out more about your cat. All cats/kittens are expected to be litter trained, have up to date vaccinations and be treated for fleas prior to boarding.

Accomodation

I live in a spacious apartment  with large windows and a cat protected balcony that is full of cat friendly plants and is ideal for bird and people watching, I have wooden floorboards, comfortable cat friendly  furniture with lots of unusual levels and interesting spaces for your kitty to discover and explore.  All of our Cat Nannies have homes that are suitable for cat/s and kitten/s. They are equipped with litter trays, food bowls, scratching posts and toys as well as a limitless supply of love and affection for your cat/s. We ask you to provide enough food for the duration of your cats stay and will update you regularly on your cats progress.

Prices start at £40 per night

Cat Sitting

At Notting Hill Cat Company we offer a one to one cat sitting service for your favourite felines. We visit your home on a once or twice daily basis and spend quality time with your kitty.

Our Service

Your cat/s visits are a minimum of 30 minutes long. The first few minutes are spent refreshing the litter, washing bowls and replenishing food and water. The rest of the visit is spent playing, brushing, petting or just keeping your cat company, according to your instructions and your cat’s wishes.

We are happy to update you regularly with texts and photographs.

Area’s we cover

We are based in Notting Hill and also cover surrounding areas such as Holland Pk, Ladbroke Grove, Kensington, Maida Vale, Queens Pk, and parts of Kensal Rise and Shepherds Bush.

If you are not sure if your area is covered please contact us.

Who will visit my cat?

I still carry out the majority of the cat sitting myself, although in an emergency or during very busy periods such as Christmas, one of our trusted team will step in to cover or assist.

What happens next?

Please contact us to arrange a free introductory visit so your cat can meet me and we can fill in the necessary forms.

Keys are usually handed over at the introductory visit but can be dropped off or collected prior to cat sitting dates. There is a small charge for collecting or dropping off keys.

Prices start at £18 per 30 minute visit. Carnival weekend and all Bank Holidays are charged at double the usual rate.
