A warm welcome to Newgate Kennels & Cattery located in Wilmslow, Cheshire!

We all hope you enjoy browsing this website and hope that it answers your questions and queries and perhaps satisfies your curiosity. All the staff at Newgate Kennels are proud to be a part of a dedicated caring and highly trained team.

Dog Boarding

We welcome your dog into a happy caring environment. We know every dog is an individual but one thing they all thrive on is routine.

All the blocks are heated and have cavity wall insulation. Combined with insulated roofs and double glazed windows they stay nice and warm in the winter (minimum temperature 20 oC). During the summer the through ventilation keeps the rooms nice and cool. The flooring is a special composite, with a rubberised finish which makes it easy to clean and of course soft to touch.

We supply all dogs with a plastic bed and comfy fleece lining (Vetbed). Dogs have access to fresh, clean water at all times – we regularly check their water and top it up, change it as required. Both the staff and boarders enjoy listening to piped Radio 2 music during the day!

Dog Grooming

You do not have to be a boarding client at Newgate to use our grooming service.

Trimming & Bathing Charges

The following prices are a general guide, charges depend on the dog’s behaviour, their coat condition, and time spent being groomed. All prices include shampoo, drying, insurance and VAT. All grooming equipment is regularly sterilised.

The groomers will be happy to have a quick consultation with you. We keep all of our trimming and bathing details on record so we can always check back and look at previous treatments your dog may have had. If you would like to book please contact us and we will try to find an appointment which best suits.

We usually need 3 weeks notice for trimming appointments. Particularly busy times for grooming are spring/early summer and leading up to Christmas.

All dogs must be up to date with their annual vaccinations when they attend their grooming appointment.
