Dog Grooming

Shaggy Chic Full Groom will start with a brush, comb out and de-tangle next we clip the nails and then eyes and ears are seen to with a mild cleaning solution. We’ll be sure to select the right shampoo for your dog’s skin and coat type. Lastly a blast dry followed by a fluff dry and then we’ll styled your pooch to breed standard. We are happy to discuss personal preference and to give you suggestions on how to make you dog look its best. Finally, a deodorising spritz, followed by a yummy treat.

An extra cost will apply for heavily matted dogs.

The Express Woofer Wash will start with an all-over brush to remove shedding hair. Nails are clipped, eyes wiped and ears cleaned. A double bubble bath will be given with a personalised shampoo, followed by a quick blast to rid your dog’s coat of excess water and dead hair and then a finish dry. Finally, a spritz of dog cologne, followed by a yummy treat.

The Puppy’s First Groom sets the stage for how your pet will respond to being groomed for the rest of their life, so it’s vital to make the experience as pleasant as possible. During this time an experienced groomer will get the puppy used to the noises and smells of the salon, give the puppy lots of cuddles and praise, introduce them to the staff and generally make their first visit an all-around fun experience.

For more confident puppies a one hour visit can be scheduled to introduce them to the grooming experience during which they will have a soothing bath, and a gentle fluff dry and light trim, if they are responding well the nails will be clipped and ears cleaned with a mild ear cleaning solution.

They will be ready after their second set of puppy inoculations. Puppies benefit from this treatment up until 6 months of age – cost: £33

The Maintenance Groom is designed to help keep your dog looking its best in-between grooming sessions. These appointments generally alternate between a full groom and styling and a bath and tidy up, which includes a double bubble bath, Keratin coat conditioning, fluff dry and hygienic trim.

This program will help to keep the coat clean reducing the re-appearance of tangles and matting. The maintenance groom also reduces the stress of brushing and allows your dog to enjoy the grooming process. Breeds like Labradoodles, Cavachons, Cockerpoos are great candidates for this grooming schedule because it helps the owners achieve ‘that’ coat length!

Hand stripping coordinates the shedding and makes room for a new coat to grow. It keeps the right colour and texture to the dog’s fur. Stripping is the proper grooming method for most terriers and some silky coated breeds. This technique brings exceptional results when it’s done correctly. The process can start at 3 months old and be carried out monthly.

Ultrasonic Toothbrushing

It is estimated that by the time they are two years old, 80% of dogs begin to show signs of oral disease. A regularly scheduled oral hygiene routine is the best way to protect your pet’s dental health. This treatment uses ultrasound to effectively remove plaque and freshen breath. The specially formulated ultrasound toothpaste, which is suitable for animals, cleans teeth and gums to prevent the build-up of plaque and tartar.  Ultrasound reaches deep below the gum line to kill germs and bacteria, at the same time it increases the blood flow to the gums to keep it healthy.

On the first consultation, your pet will have his own personal toothbrush. It can be taken home with you or kept in the shop for his next visit. Follow ups are available and can be booked weekly or be added to your regular grooming appointment.

Holistic Spa Treatment

Pet Therapy Paws Pearls – This treatment uses luxurious pearls that burst in bath water to give a silky feel, full of moisturising properties which will help restore and clean dry paws. The paws will be soaked five to ten minutes in the water which will have an uplifting coconut, tropical aroma which will relax and soothe tired paws.

Mud Bath Shedding Treatment – A deep cleaning, sweet smelling mud bath full of hydrating omega oils and pumped full of B vitamins to help relieve and prevent excessive shedding. This quenches dry coats in hydration and is ideal for thick coats. This lush treatment naturally cleans and treats clogged hair follicles, releases undercoat and removes loose fur.

Double coated dogs such as Pomeranians, Golden Retrievers, Border Collies, Siberian Huskies naturally shed and may have a complete new coat at least twice a year. A regular de-shed treatment is highly recommended for these breeds.

Menthol and Peppermint Mobility Mud Treatment – Menthol is a natural plant extract that is an excellent cooling agent and counter irritant widely used for pain relief. A refreshing antiseptic and blood circulation stimulant, menthol gives the skin that cool feeling while reducing itchiness and tenderness. Peppermint: This natural plant extract adds cooling, bactericidal, and anti-irritant properties to the Mobility Mud treatment. Peppermint helps reduce inflammation and redness and cools the skin by constricting capillaries, increasing circulation. Your dog will feel renewed and refreshed with a blast of pure-green energy.

Brazilian Keratin Deep Conditioning – This treatment replenishes and protects the coat’s natural keratin protein, achieving a fuller coat, loosening dead hair for less shedding, while adding intense hydration that restores softness and shine. Keratin strengthens the hair follicles and eliminates static. With luscious Vitamin E and genuine Brazilian Keratin.

Spa Facial Scrub This gently foaming facial has mild, concentrated formula which naturally exfoliates and gently hydrates the skin. The refreshing blend of vanilla and blueberry effectively removes dirt and tear stains, and will not irritate eyes. This treatment is great for all skin types and pets of all ages.

Coat Enhancing Shampoos

Bright White – This product is an optic intensifying treatment within a shampoo, removing all yellow stains and leaving a lustrous sheen on white colours.  Contains no bleaching agents, no caustic chemicals, or softening agents.

Copper – Helps boost the colour of brown, red and copper coated breeds such as the Irish Setter, Irish Water Spaniel and Chocolate Labs.

Black – Formulated specifically for use on black coats, this shampoo restores the intense black colour to coats stripped of their colour by the bleaching effects of the sun which can damage the fur revealing a reddish/brown pigmentation

Cancellation Policy & No Shows

Cancellations can be made up to 24 hours before the agreed time by calling the salon on 01491 576629. Cancellations and reschedules given with less than 24 hours notice with result in a charge of 50% of the reserved service amount. No shows will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount. In order to book your next appointment, cancellation or no show fees must be paid in full. Pick up will be due at the time arranged during check-in or when the pet owner is contacted. Late Pick Ups – Owners that are later than 30 minutes picking up their pet will be charged a fee. If owners are unable to meet this pick up window we recommend booking our short term doggie creche.
