Nats Pet Services offers dog walking, pet visits and exotic bird care in the following areas:
Cambridge, Fen Ditton, Horningsea, Waterbeach, Chesterton, Milton, Arbury, Cherry Hinton, Bottisham, Six Mile Bottom, Stow Cum Quy, Lode, Teversham, FulbournĀ and the Wilbrahams.
As an owner of a variety of pets varying from dogs, exotic birds, small furries and chickens I understand how worrying it is when we are not around to cater for their needs albeit due to work commitments or holidays or a busy daily routine.
The early darkness in the winter may mean it is difficult to give your dog a long off lead walk.
I appreciateĀ every animal asĀ an individual whoĀ has differing needs and requirements from each other, whether it is due to age, health, feeding, exercise or behavioural needs. However the basic needs are the same. Fresh food and water, exercise and mental stimulation and equally as important isĀ kindness and empathy.
Occasionally sudden and unforeseen circumstances mean we can’t get home to care for our pets so I can offer an emergency call out for these times for regular clients for whom I am a key holder.
I am available from 7am onwards, at weekends and also available on all bank holidays, Christmas and New Year.
Group walks
If your dog likes to have other dogs to play with on his walksĀ and is neutered or spayed, then I have 2Ā fun daily group walks which are between 10Ā am and 4 pm.Ā
First Walk: Pick ups are from approximately 10Ā am and the walk begins at 11am.
Second Walk: Pick ups are from approximately 1 pm and the walk begins at 2pm.
Both walks are for a full hour and we walk in Fen Ditton, Quy, Lode, Waterbeach or Horningsea.Ā Both group dog walks are off road an there is plenty of safe space for the dogs to run around and have fun in.Ā
Individual walks
Week day individual dog walks are possibleĀ on request depending on availability.
Individual walks are always available on Saturdays after 1 pm, Sundays all day andĀ weekdays after 4.30 pm.Ā
Dogs walked on their own can either be kept on leads, or if neutered or spayed, have good recall and are good with other dogs, they would be able to be off the lead.
Pet visits are available for all species of animals and include feeding, giving fresh water, cleaning litter trays, cleaning out and replenishing bedding and letting dogs out into the garden.
Pet visits are available for any durationĀ of time from 1 day to 1 month depending on the area you live in.
AĀ pet visit at your home can be booked for a half an hour or more if required. I am happy to take out bins and water bothĀ indoor or outdoor plants, clean up any accidents and keep areas around your petsĀ tidy.
I am able to administer most medications to pets if necessary. Ā
Species I have looked after, worked with or kept as petsĀ over the years include, horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas, tropical fish, chickens, ducks, budgies, parrots, pigeons and aviary birds.
I offer a chicken and poultry sitting service where I would visit yourĀ own homeĀ or allotment once or twice per day as required.
I have keptĀ my own pet chickensĀ for 7 years and previously ducks and quail so have a good knowledge of poultry husbandry.Ā
Services include:Ā
Cleaning droppings from all areas of their run and night coop.Ā
Replenishing food,Ā water and grits.Ā
Keeping check on individuals in the flockĀ for injury or ailment.
Collecting any eggs.
Opening and closing the pop hole door in the morning and evening.
I am respectful of any Defra regulations regarding avian influenza which now often arise during the Winter months and can advise on appropriate action if necessary.Ā
