Holiday Boarding for

Muirburn is a dog boarding kennels and cattery located in Horndean, Hampshire, on the edge of the South Downs. We are fully licenced by East Hampshire District Council in accordance with the Animal Boarding Establishments Act 1963, and constantly supervised by our long-standing, caring staff who ensure your pet’s comfort and well-being is a priority.

We are situated in 6 acres of the Hampshire countryside. Muirburn is a family run business having been owned by Peter and Sue Martin since 1996. We aim to provide the highest standard of care and comfort paying particular attention to security and Hygiene.

Who we are

Peter and Sue have owned Muirburn Holiday Boarding for Dogs & Cats since 1996. During that time they have continually made improvements to make it the best animal boarding establishment they can. This has included the complete modernisation of the kennels and cattery, as well as re-landscaping the grounds to create the best environment for dogs and cats in their care.

MAXIMUM COMFORT

Caring for your best friend

Constructed to the highest standards, cavity walls and individual heating for each dog kennel ensures maximum comfort during your best friend’s stay with us. Each boarding kennel has a sliding hatch to its own covered exercise run so residents can come and go as they wish.

Dogs also have access to large grass exercise paddocks for lead-free exercise. Unlike other dog boarding kennels, we do not charge extra for individual diets or for heating.

Each boarding kennel is kept warm with it’s own heat lamp, and our modern kennel blocks with cavity wall insulation ensure all dogs in our care enjoy maximum comfort during their stay

INDIVIDUAL EXERCISE RUN

All dogs have access from their boarding kennel to their own individual exercise run throughout the day. We always encourage boarders to get as much exercise as possible whilst with us

 

ALL DIETS CATERED FOR

We stock a wide range of quality, branded dry and wet foods for dogs in our care, including James Wellbeloved, Skinners, and Pedigree Chum. Grain-free diets are also catered for upon request

 

HYGIENIC CONSTRUCTION

Our dog boarding kennels have been built with strict hygiene rules in mind. Combined with a regular cleaning routine throughout the day, we are able to maintain high levels of cleanliness

MAXIMUM COMFORT

Caring for your feline friend

Providing the ultimate comfort for your cat’s stay, our new state of the art uPVC constructed cattery was rebuilt in July 2017, with cabin sizes increased by over 40%. The cattery includes 2 double-sized cabins for families of cats, and all cabins are kept cosy by being individually heated with thermostatically controlled temperature.

Cabins all have exercise areas where your feline friend can survey the outside world in comfort.
