Lola’s Friends is a family run bespoke service to meet the needs of your pet. Established in 2010 because of a genuine love and care for pets we had a vision to provide exceptional care for your pets when you are unable to provide this care yourself, whether through work or family commitments, illness or holidays. We decided to offer dog walking, cat sitting (and house care) at affordable prices to give you peace of mind. Your pets become like family to us and we treat them with the same love and care and respect that you do.
Lola is our Cocker Spaniel, she is 10 years old and she loves to run in the open fields, woods and where ever she can, she exercises for about 15 miles each day so we have plenty of walks and she loves having friends to walk with. We adapt our walks to suit your dog, some need a quick 30 minutes and some need more, our walks are usually about an hour long and we adapt to suit your dogs needs. We DO NOT like ‘pack walks’ and limited the number of dogs to a maximum of 4 and then they need to be comfortable with each other.
Puppy training. In 2017 Tony decided to train to become a Puppy Trainer and offer training for your puppy to become a well behaved and sociable member of your family. Working on positive reward principles and with 1 2 1 basis puppy training can begin as soon as your puppy arrives. Tony also offers on going support and training at any age for your puppy or dog and helps in all areas.
Cat sitting for your cats when you are on holiday gives them the security of staying in their own surroundings and reduces their stress levels and also gives added peace of mind for you, when away, because we are visiting your home and giving activity to deter people from seeing a vacant house.
We provide our services within a radius of about 5 miles from Ombersley.
We tailor our walks to suit your dog, your dog may not be comfortable being pushed into a car or van with several others and prefer to walk by themselves or due to age or illness they may only need a short walk. Whatever their need is we will give them a walk they need and return happy, contentented and left with fresh water and if wet dried down so you don’t have a wet house to come home to.
Walks are, almost always, in open areas where they can feel the grass under their feet and sniff all those lovely smells.
Until I have your dog responding to my recall they dog will be walked on a lead, but this can be a retractable lead or long line.
Until your puppy has had all their injections they should not meet with any other dog – we will visit several times during the day to give them the chance to go to the toilet and also to have food when they are still having their lunch time feed.
As your puppy gets older we can start walking them, by themselves to start with as they only need walks lasting 5 minutes for each month of age (e.g. 3 month old = 15 minutes).
I am a firm believer in using positive reward methods and also giving love and kindness to your puppy, I feel it is better to train the humans rather than train the puppy as you are going to be the people who are with the puppy for the majority of the time.
I will meet with you (and your family) either at your house or nearby location and give you the tools you need to have the puppy you want.
The training takes place in 1 session and then I offer free unlimited advice on the telephone! No more having to spend weeks attending Puppy Classes! and it costs less too! and can start as soon as you get your puppy.
A perfect place for your cat when you go away? your house! among the usual smells and routines, not in a cage next to other cats.
We will visit, feed, fuss and clean the litter tray either once a day or as many visits as you want!
Your post will be collected and stored away from prying eyes, rubbish bins put out for collection, even house plants watered! Curtains opened/closed, lights set on timers. Everything to suggest your house is still occupied giving you complete peace of mind while you are away.
