We hope you enjoy your travel through our web site.
We established the kennels in 2000, along with our working farm at Linton on Ouse some 10 miles north of York. We are very much a family of animal lovers having currently two Border Terriers’, Ruby and Kayleigh and recently also given a home to a Rottweiler named Tia.
Jean Lawson runs the kennels with help from family members, so your dog doesn’t have to deal with strangers and can quickly settle into a familiar and contented routine. The kennels are set in open countryside with open fields to walk in and numerous bridle ways to walk along, therefore your dog can have different and peaceful walks free from traffic.
The kennels are situated 15 minutes from the York by pass, 10 minutes from the A19, 8 miles from the A1 and A168 which gives Lodge Farm Boarding Kennels easy access from Thirsk, Easingwold, York, Boroughbridge, Knaresbrough, Ripon and Harrogate. We are totally dedicated to providing a safe and hygienic environment for your family pet while you are away.
“We have been using Lodge Farm Boarding Kennels for our dogs for over 9 years and I can honestly say it is brilliant. It is immaculately clean, the dogs are regularly exercised and very well cared for by Jean, the owner, who is highly experienced and very attentive to the dogs individual needs and personalities. Our dog Troy is always very happy to see Jean a sure indication that he is being well looked after. We go away frequently and Lodge Farm Boarding Kennels gives us peace of mind that Troy is content and not suffering from separation anxiety. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these kennels for your dogs.”

“We wish to HIGHLY recommend Lodge Farm Boarding Kennels. Having used others, some posh, some expensive, and all unsatisfactory, we discovered these Kennels about 10 years ago, and have never looked back. Jean Lawson treats our 5 dogs as her own. She knows them all by name, and cares for them as individuals. She takes care of any dietary requirements, looks after any medical concerns, and gives us complete confidence that they are being well looked after.
We have recommended Jean to friends, and they tell us how impressed they are too. Jean and Denis, and their son Mark are the nicest of people, and all kennels should be run like this.”

We look forward to meeting you. We very much encourage you to inspect and look round our boarding kennels, and all our facilities. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Children are very welcome to come along and see where your family pets will be staying for their holidays. It is also nice for your dog to join you for the visit to meet all of us, this enables them when returning for their stay, the kennels surroundings and myself will be still familiar to them.
Another useful tip is when you do come to stay, is to bring a personal item of clothing with you that has your familiar scent, we can then place it in their basket to snuggle down with. Also if your dog has never been in kennel surroundings and it’s the very first time, what we recommend is perhaps a couple of weeks before they are due to come and stay, bring them in for an overnight stay. This helps to both acquaint themselves with both us, and also the surroundings. All these suggestions will make it much easier for your dog’s stay with us
If you would like to arrange a visit please do not hesitate to contact Jean on 01347 848371. If no answer please leave a message and we will return your call. Or Alternatively call my mobile 07803 900761.
