Here at Kent’s Farm Kennels and Cattery we have a love of all animals – great and small and have been looking after our customers’ dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other more unusual pets since 1970. We are a family run business with a dedicated team that prioritise your pet’s welfare.
We have established a deserved reputation for ensuring that all animals spending time with us receive individual care and attention and we get to know each guest personally as many of them become regular visitors.

Boarding for your Dogs
Luxury
While your dog stays with us, comfort comes as standard in our luxury heated kennels. We provide a warm, cosy holiday-home whether a Great Dane, St Bernard, Yorkie or Chihuahua, young or more mature, everyone can be accommodated. If you have two or more dogs they can stay together, or should you prefer they can luxuriate in their own space. Each kennel has its own large run, providing space for your dog to absorb the atmosphere.
Bedding
All bedding is provided, however, we understand that dogs are creatures of habit and if they prefer to bring their own bedding, toys and treats we are more than happy to personalise their kennel for them.
Attention
Our fully trained animal-loving staff take great pleasure in lavishing attention on all our guests. Regular observation of each kennel and thorough exercising, two-three times a day, means your pet is fully occupied and monitored throughout their stay with us.
Medication
If your dog has any special medical requirement, please let us know and our trained staff will administer the appropriate medication. Our own vet is on call daily for any urgent or serious consultations.
Health
When checking in please let staff know of any recent illnesses, lumps, bumps or any other problems. Your dog’s health is paramount to us and we can make adjustments to our service to ensure, in most cases, that any special needs are met.
Feeding
We all have our preferences when it comes to food and your dog is just the same. We stock a broad range of dog food brands to maintain a balanced diet. However, if you have specific feeding instructions, inform us when checking in and we will follow them. We can provide your dog’s favourite food, even if it is not within our stock range. For this service we require up to three weeks’ notice and depending on the product there may be an additional charge.

Services
Vaccinations
Vaccinations train the immune system to recognise and respond quickly to certain infections before they can cause serious illness. We offer a number of vaccinations to ensure your pet is fully protected.
Dogs require vaccinations for distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parainfluenza virus. Your dog must be up to date with vaccinations before staying at Kents Farm.
Primary Full course
Completed over a period of 2-3 weeks. Allowed to board 7 days after 2nd vaccine.
Booster Vaccine
Allowed to board the same day, but preferably 2 days after vaccine.
Collection & Delivery Service
Collections & deliveries of dogs from London & home counties can be arranged (adequate notice required) by phone or email.
SERVICE IS AVAILABLE MONDAY – FRIDAY (excluding Bank Holidays). Pickup and drop off times between 9am – 12noon (depending on traffic).
Please do not feed animals on the day they are collected. This will help them to travel more comfortably, they will be fed on arrival at the kennels.

Dog Bathing
Giving your dog a bath will help to keep their coat in a healthy, shiny condition, why not make use of our purpose built, stress-free environment and enjoy a sweet smelling home coming.
Worming: Drontal+
Roundworms and tapeworms are common worms that live in your pets stomach & intestine. To prevent this we recommend you worm your pet every 3 months.
Flea Control
To avoid itching and more serious conditions it is important to regularly treat your pets with flea killer which will keep them free of fleas, flea eggs and ticks.
Microchipping
We offer a microchipping service to ensure your pet can be identified at all times.
Pet Passport
If you require a Pet Passport we can arrange this for you, along with a microchip and rabies vaccination (if neccessary).

If you have two or more cats they can stay together, or should you prefer they can luxuriate in their own space. Scratching posts, sun shelves, climbing logs and litter trays make sure that while staying with us your cat’s every need is catered for.

Dog & Cat Grooming
FULL GROOMING OF ALL BREEDS
All of our grooming treatments include a bath using a professional grooming shampoo plus conditioner and dogs are then hand-dried on the table, including use of a ‘forced-air dryer’ where possible to remove all dead & loose hair from the dog’s coat. All dogs’ coats are groomed, brushed and combed through to perfection during the drying process! A nice little massage completes the bathing/drying treatment.
Also included in a “Full Groom” are nail clipping, groin area, anal area and inbetween pads/under ears clipped where necessary, ears cleaned … and also teeth cleaned and anal glands checked/emptied on request.
CLIPPING/SCISSORING/TRIMMING
Clipping, hand-stripping, scissoring and trimming are carried out as necessary and as instructed or discussed with the owner.
PRICING
Our prices are not extortionate! Examples as follows: Westie – £30; Labrador – £20; Cockerpoo – £35; Long haired GSD – £40;
NB: Prices are based on dogs presented to us knot-free. For matted/badly knotted coats, de-matting is £20 per hour where possible – or alternatively coats will have to be clipped right off for the benefit and well-being of your dog where deemed necessary by our professional groomers.
