When you head off on your next break, why not treat your furry friend to a little holiday of their own?Â
Our aim is to endeavour to give all our guests a holiday to remember, because dogs love the whole experience we provide, staying at the Hylton, relishing the care and attention lavished on them by our staff buddies, and having free run of the fields with or without other doggo friends. Indeed the majority of our regular guests can’t wait to get in, so they can get started in all the fun, meeting their best friends that they have made on previous holidays.
Most of our regular guests book the same weeks every year, so over a period, it’s like joining the doggy holiday club here at the Hylton.
While the dogs have a blast with us, we understand it can be nervewracking for you, especially if you’re new to using keenels, which is why we can with your permission, put photos on Facebook or Instagram so you can see for yourself how s/he is enjoying the experience here at the Hylton.
Meet and greets are an opportunity for us to get to know more about your pooch and for you to know more about us. In this meet and greet, we will go over what happens during doggy day care and allow us to see if your dog will be suitable and if you also think they are suitable.Â
Once established your furry friend is appropriate for day care, we will book a date for their first day care session. During this, a Hylton buddy will carry out an assessment to determine how well they play, and behave with other dogs and in the chalets, as well as how they deal with us handling them. During this session, we will use different groups of dogs to determine the best play type and dogs to put your poochie with.Â
Upon passing this assessment, they will be rewarded with a pawsport, which we fill in every day care session so you can see what your dogs get up to into the day. Â
We have lots of experience with all breeds and sizes of dog as we have been boarding our best friends since 1983.
We understand dog language and that every dog is different. This helps us to discover your dog’s stimulus and anxieties. And we will tailor the daycare experience to make them more comfortable.
If your dog is shy around other dog’s we will introduce them slowly to calm dogs with a dedicated buddy. To help them become more confident and comfortable.
Each dog has his very own bedroom and covered outside patio area where there’s plenty of room to exercise, stretch out and play with their toys.
