ABOUT US
We are Chris and Martin Brakewell. We have been providing a professional one to one Dog Walking, Pet Visiting and Small Pet Boarding Service in South Ribble, Preston since 2001.
We live in Lostock Hall, Preston with our two cats.We are fully insured with Petplan Sanctuary.
We offer Home Boarding Service for most small pets and Pet Visiting while your on holiday or sick. Also daily dog walking for clients out at work. Details of which are on the relevant pages.
DOG WALKING
Daily one-to-one Dog Walking.
We will collect your dog from your home and take him/her on a walk of your choice near to your home. We do not transport dogs in our cars. Dogs are walked alone on a lead at all times. We do not group walk.
We don’t offer holiday care for dogs but if you have a relative caring for your dog while your away but they cant walk him that we can offer walks for you.

As cat owners ourselves, we believe that because cats are territorial creatures by nature and stubbornly resistant to change, taking them out of their familiar environment can sometimes be stressful and confusing. In addition, cats do like to be comfortable and always have their favourite snooze spot, basket or chair to relax in. We are use to cats of all characters and temperaments and even though some may be a little grumpy or shy on day one because you are not there, we soon gain their trust through play and of course making sure they get their meals on time. Cats that we care for soon get use to us and don’t get stressed. In our experience, cats who are cared for at home are happier and content simply because they are in familiar surroundings and are eating their usual diet. For long-haired cats, it is also important that they are groomed regularly. Our flexible visiting service can provide your cats with all the care and attention they need whilst you are away you choose the number of visits per day to suit the needs of your cat
We always make sure that we make a FREE Consultation visit to meet your cat and get to know them a little before you go away.
Another advantage is that our regular visits ensure that your home itself is being monitored and we will close/draw curtains, pick up post and put out bins to ensure that no-one is alerted to the fact that you are not at home.
We will visit your pets once or twice a day. We will feed and water them and ensure that they are happy and content. Included in pet visits we will pick up post, put out bins, water plants, feed garden birds and open and close curtains.
House check visits available if you don’t have pets.
SMALL PET BOARDING
Home boarding for rabbits, guinea pigs, and rodents in our home in Lostock Hall.
We  provide home from home accommodation for all your pets, we have purpose built heated Comfort Cottage for  guinea pigs, large double hutches, all birds and small rodents are kept indoors, in our purpose pet room, in there own cages. Penthouse cabin with run  and playhouse cabin. All fully insulated and waterproofed.
Pets are checked and cleaned at least twice daily and sanitised after every stay. Litter trays, water bottles and dishes can be provided or you can bring their own.
Please bring pets own dry food and eating hay so they have same as what they have at home. Also any toys that smell of home. We can provide veggies and freshly picked grass and herbs.
We keep track of all food/water intake and waste production. Bottoms checked daily.Moulting pets will be groomed.
If your pet requires any extra care or is on medication please discuss with us when booking.
Booking form will be sent  by email. £20 Deposit required at time of booking along with proof of vaccinations (rabbits only)
Full payment is required on your pets arrival. You must drop off and collect your pets at the agreed date and time and contact us immediately if you are delayed to make new arrangements.
Please read and sign our terms and conditions.
We will set up housing with newspaper.shavings and straw for bed area ,please let us know before your arrival if this is not required.We provide bottles,dishes,litter tray and bedding.
Cancellation: Because we are only a small set up we have limited housing for pets if you need to cancel we need two weeks notice or 50% of full bill will be required.
PLEASE NOTE. bunnies should of been vaccinated against Myxomatosis/rhd 1 & 2 before arrival and we will need to see uptodate certificates.vaccinations need to have taken place 3 weeks before boarding to ensure effectiveness
We use a defra approved F10 disinfectant between boarders.Â
We only accept fit and healthy animals.
We have an excellent relationship with our vet who is located within ten minutes of our home.
