Welcome to Healthy Hounds, we love animals and specialise in all things dogs, offering a wide range of services from Dog Day Care in our private secluded and secure 8-acre fields, Dog Sitting if you are wanted to ensure your dog is kept safe and secure when you can’t be at home, Dog Grooming in our specialised one to one dog grooming centre keeping your dog looking its best, Dog First Aid so you know how to look after your dog should the unimaginable ever happen, Puppy Visits if you have recently just become a dog owner and need assistance when you are you can’t be there due to work or other commitments.

Dog Grooming

Our grooming salon offers an intimate, relaxing service for your pup. With over ten years of experience, our groomer is fully qualified to provide only the best of service. Specifically designed to ensure only one dog is in the groomers at a time, our salon caters for even the timidest dogs. The salon’s owner, Viviana, has years of experience as an animal behaviourist. Both our groomer and owner are amazing at helping dogs with bad experiences learn to build trust again and create new, positive experiences for them.   From bathing to blowdrying, deshedding to full grooms, we offer it all. And as for our customers, we see a vast majority of breeds on a regular basis including Chihuahuas, Poodles, Labradoodles and even Alaskan Malamutes! Each leaving with a wag in their tail!

If you’re nervous about leaving your pooch with us, you’re welcome to stay whilst they’re pampered. Our salon hosts a cosy environment for you to sit back and enjoy a coffee during your wait. Beautifully decorated with relaxing music to pass the time, you’ll leave looking forward to your pups next appointment.

Pet Sitting

Got something planned but need your pooch to be looked after? We offer pet sitting for all of our furry friends. We can organise the pick-up and drop-off of your dog. Daycare activities are included in pet sitting, we also ensure your pooch is well fed and has lots of playtimes.  All dogs during the stay, stay in our staffs’ homes just like one of our own.

Daycare

Healthy Hounds offer adventures and fun with our daycare service. Leave your pups in good hands as we walk them in our private, fenced fields. We believe every dog should have the freedom to be a dog. With 18 acres of secluded land to explore, there’s always something for them to get their paws into. We have various breeds and sizes out on our walks which allows your pooch to find that pawfect buddy to play with. Whilst we offer a fun experience, we always ensure it’s a safe one. All interactions are supervised as your dog’s wellbeing is important to us.  Healthy Hounds owner, Viviana, is a dog behaviourist and trainer. Viviana trains all field assistance workers and also trains all dogs when they first join daycare to be off lead and respond to recall commands.

First Aid Training

If you’re interested in learning first aid for your pet or business, we are able to offer training and certification.  We are proud to be able to call ourselves a Pet First Aid, Canine First Aid and Security Dog First Aid Trainer & Assessor.  All courses are run locally and frequently. Participants are awarded certification on completion. Healthy Hounds have also visited schools across Scotland to teach first aid and children safety programmes.  These programmes teach kids about dog behaviours and how to read dog body language.
