Headington Dog Training

Be the first to review

A happy, obedient & sociable pet

The aim of Headington Dog Training is to teach you to train your dog to be a happy, obedient and sociable pet. He/she will learn various exercises, designed to enable you to bring your dog under your control.

At Headington Dog Training, we believe it is important that you enjoy the classes and home visits, also that you have fun training your dog, which is why we try to make it as happy an experience as possible.

Our experienced Instructors use up to date methods incorporating reward and praise based training.

All our courses have a maximum of 6 dogs per class.

This allows the Instructors to give each individual plenty of 1 to 1 training and advice during each session.

1 to 1 Training

Work on your specific issues at your own pace

Work one on one with Martin, our professional dog trainer and behaviourist.

Your private session/sessions provide the flexibility to work on your specific issues, at your own pace. It also allows Martin to tailor a training plan that is individual to you and your dog.

During all these sessions, we will demonstrate the correct instructions to use (voice and hand commands), how to use them and when to use them. We aim to support you to better understand how your puppy/dog communicates and why they may do certain behaviours.

This is the key to having a well behaved and balanced dog and is fundamental in any training that you will do with them.

Most of our clients only need one or two of our 1 to 1 sessions before feeling confident enough to progress their training on their own.

This can be dependent on your requirements and how deep-rooted any unwanted behaviours are, which can be further discussed on first contact.
