We understand the importance of exercise for our furry friends so we’ve provided the kennel with 10×15 a outside run for playtime and endurance. We’ll provide nail trims and bathing as additional services. We ask that you bring their favorite bed,  toy, food, and medication/supplements. This will ensure they are as comfortable as possible with their vacation with us. 

To ensure the safety of our friends, we plan to install cameras in the doggie lounges for an additional charge to check on your pet at your convenience. You’ll be able to board your pet for a minimum of a day and the maximum of 3 weeks. Meals will be provided on your pet’s personal schedule as well as their medication, treats, and supplements.

The companionship we provide while our furry friends are with us is what sets us apart from others. We expect our boarding facility to feel like a home away from home. An experience where your family feels welcomed and safe. We have play areas inside and out for the size variety of your pets with their own dog lounge for bedtime. 

Happy Houndz Kennels were opened in 2009 and at that time had to be extensively refurbished as their previous use was as breeding kennels.

Well, nothing stands still and here we are again commencing a root and branch refurbishment of the site which will involve new outdoor and indoor kennels which we hope will be completed during 2017. The good news is that there will be no disruption to service or availability of kennels during the refurbishment. Work has already been complete with the installation of our new isolation kennels and heated kennel block which were installed and commissioned for use in December 2016. Our new kennels were manufactured and installed by Chicubes who have made the whole process seemless, so a big thanks to them.

We take dogs of all shapes and sizes and also are a care centre for rescued and homeless dogs. Currently we look after dogs for Alfie’s dream for greyhounds and will shortly be announcing another first for Dumfriesshire.
