A Bit About Me..

Greyt Escapes was founded by myself, Rebecca Knox as a part-time venture but is rapidly growing. I was born in Lancashire but grew up on small-holdings in North Wales. I was always surrounded by wildlife and animals large and small so I have a wealth of experience with pet, show and breeding dogs, horses, ponies, cats, birds and other small animals. My own animal family currently consists of three dogs, ex-racer and rescue Greyhound Douglas, Parker the Labrador cross-breed and Dora a German Shorthaired Pointer who I have lots of fun running with! Keeping with the racing theme I also have two ex-racehorses.

Greyt Escapes is fully insured, I am DBS (police) checked and have qualifications in Pet First Aid as well as home studying modules in Canine Studies from Reaseheath College. In my spare time I volunteer on wildlife conservation projects and enjoy cycling, fell running and mountaineering.

Why Choose Greyt Escapes?

Greyt Escapes offer exclusive services that most other dog walkers out there don’t offer. Firstly, all walks are GPS tracked and routes made available to owners at any time, so as well as being able to see where and how far your dog has walked, you can rest assured that your dog is getting the time you are paying for. Most walks are followed up with pictures and or videos of your dog and can be followed on Facebook or Instagram.

Greyt Escapes love to take dogs out for small group walks in fields, valleys, hills and forests where dogs can enjoy some off lead time time playing with their friends.

I also enjoy running with dogs and using my own Canicross equipment I am more than happy to run with your dog by negotiation. This is often best suited to high energy or hard pulling dogs such as working or gundog breeds, however any breed is more than welcome to give it a try!

There are many people out there offering pet services so to help you choose I offer a no obligation ‘meet and greet’ usually lasting around 30 minutes. This helps us to get to know your pet’s daily routine, provide the paperwork and gives you and your pet the chance to meet us and for you to ask any questions you might have. I am also available for one-off or short term bookings.
