About Me

Hello, my name is Jodie Greenfield and I love dogs! I set up Greenfields Dogwalking in 2017 with the aim to provide dog walking, training and boarding services inthe Cambridge area and outlying villages.

Previously to setting up Greenfield`s dog walking I was a volunteer for the Hearing Dogs training and socialising puppies for over 4 years.

My priority is to meet the needs of all the animals in my care, I tailor the service I provide to each dog’s individual needs, looking at the whole dog.

With every enquiry prior to you using my services, I provide a free assessment,so I can tailor my care to the need of your animal so I can get a good overall perceptive on the dog and what you the owner are looking to get out of my services.

I currently own 2 cocker spaniels and your dog whether walking or board will be a part on our family for the length of their stay. I run tailored dog training sessions both on a 1-1 basis or in a small group setting. (maximum 6 in a class)

I also volunteered for 3 years at a local puppy class in Cambridge and I regularly write for “The Lady” magazine giving advice on specialist issues and general care for our four legged friends in their dog pet care column.

• I have a van for all the dogs, they are transported in crates to keep them safe

• I hold a dog boarding Licence awarded 4 stars from Cambridgeshire County Counsel

• COAPE canine mind course graded distinction

• Passed with distinction Certified Dog Trainer (DCT-CDT) at the Dog TrainingCollege certification programme.

• I regularly attend training courses and webinars to further my knowledge,development and maintain best practice.

My Services

Dog Walking

I like to walk dogs in small groups never more than 4 at a time. I walk in a variety of different locations Coton Country park, Grantchester Meadows, and Madingley.

My group walks are an hour long and I match the dogs with their needs, temperament and ageso they can most out of the session and have the best experience possible, the happiness and wellbeing of your dog is my top priority.

Dog Boarding

I hold an animal welfare licence to board dogs. I have been awarded 4 stars. My licence number is AWL0034.

I board dogs in my family home, they liveand become part of our family when staying with us. We treat the dogs that come to stay as our own, your dog will receive 2 one hour walks a day with our dogs. They also receive daily enrichment activities such as playing with toys and hunting for treats.

When yourdogs come to stay with us,you will receive regular picture and video updates to keep you up to date on your animals holiday.

Dog Training

In recent years, the way we train dogs has changed considerably. Now very much the way dogs feel is taken into consideration.

It is not just meeting the dogs physical needs but meeting their emotional needs and how to mentally stimulate them,what we can do to enrich their lives,also like people each dog is unique.

So when training this needs to be taken into account, I believe building the bond between owner and dog is crucial this is the foundation that all training starts from.

My approach is to provide fun, kind, and effective training which provides owner and dog practical skills to use in everyday situations.

Services I provide:

• Puppy Help in the first week- Establishing a routine, toilet training, puppy biting, creating a bond, sleep, appropriate toys to use, correct handling., boundaries., puppy-proofing the environment.

• 1-1 sessions individual tailored sessions booked in a minimum of blocks of 3. Where I can come to your home, and we can also do sessions in local greenspaces.

• Group dog Training classes- they run ina block of 6 weeks.

• A maximum of 6 in a class, this way I am able to work with people individually and differentiate according to the dog and owners needs. I provide an email with notes so owners can refer to them when practicing at home.
