ABOUT

Ever since I can remember my passion and greatest love has always been animals, I started riding horses when I was 6 and have loaned, owned and worked with them, I love to be outside and with nature. For the past 5 years I worked at a well established animal rescue in Norfolk as an animal welfare officer, I have worked with a variety of different animals from cats and dogs to sheep, pigs and horses. The majority of animals I worked with had different types of issues, be that physical, mental, emotional or behavioural, there is not a lot of problems I have not encountered or helped rehabilitate. I have also owned many animals that had their own problems, from a pony who had severe aggression and trust issues, a cat who had to have her leg amputated, a rescued wild polecat that had lost the use of his hind legs, in addition I have owned many snakes.
I am also experienced with handling other types of reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, small furries, fowl and birds.

Hopefully I can be the solution to your needs by either walking them, looking after them, or helping to heal them.

With todays demanding schedual unfortunatley some people are not able to get home throughout the day to either let their dog out for that essential toilet break or take them out for a walk, maybe you have an older dog who requires more frequent toilet breaks,  a puppy new to the family that you are trying to house train and do not want to leave for long hours whilst you are at work. Whatever your situation I can help.

Longer walks can also be arranged.

I have years of experience working with different breeds, life stages, disabilities and behaviour issues.  I also have experience with lead and obedience training so your dog will be in safe and sensible hands.

Through working in a rescue environment I know and understand how stressful it can be for animals to be out of sync with their routine and away from familiar smells and surroundings, either not eating, not going to the toilet or being shut down, extremely stressed and anxious, these are all things that can be avoided by keeping your beloved family member in their home while you’re away, who better to trust than someone who is professionally experienced in caring for animals.

During the initial meet and greet there will be a questionnaire sheet that we will fill out to make sure all the relevant information is there that I need.

Over the years I have administered many different types of medication to both the rescues animals and my own.  I am more than happy to dispense any medication that your animal may require whilst in my care.
