Galavan’s Pet Assistance are an established family run Pet Care provider located in St Helens, Merseyside, we are one of the longest running pet services around with 5 star ratings.
We pride ourselves in offering a First class professional, but friendly Pet Care service. We are experienced, trained, Police checked and first aid trained. We also hold Level 3 Ofqual regulated Pet Care Diploma’s amongst other Pet Related certificates. We pride ourselves in keeping up to date with the most up to date guidlines for Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers, to offer you the highest welfare standards possible. We achieved all the optional higher standards set by DEFRA, under the new regulations that came into force in October 2018 for licensing. We are proud to have won the Good vet and Pet Guide Business of the month September 2016. We also ranked 1st in the top 3 rated businesses the past 7 years. We are always striving to offer the best possible service at all times.

We are here to offer you and your pets a First Class Alternative Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Service and offer you assistance with your pets when you’re not around to do so.
We offer a Dogtastic Dog walking service which is varied and energetic and helps socialise your dog.
We would never consider putting our own pets into Kennels or Catteries and now you don’t have to either, we can offer a service thats a perfect alternative and tailored to suit the need of yourself and your much loved pets, either Dog Minding at home for dogs or Pet Sitting in your home for cats and caged/tanked animals.
Service Description and Cost
Group Dog Walking £10 per hour
- Your dog would be placed in a carefully selected group with dogs of similar ability and socialized under supervision. No dog is let off lead unless Recall is excellent and tested and permission given by owner.
- Unfortunately we have no space for 1 to 1 walks at the moment.
- Payable at the beginning of each week or month £10 per 1 Hour Group
- Walk includes pick and drop off at the same address ie home , if you require different pick up and drop off addresses please enquire as pet taxi may be chargeable.
- We follow the New Dog Walking Guidelines issues in 2019.
- (we no longer offer a 30 min walk)
Cat Visits ( upto 3 cats) £8 per visit within a 3 mile radius ( additional cats can be added for £2 per cat) or additional mileage cost if over 3miles)
- Perfect alternative to a cattery for a more relaxed care plan for your cat.
- Free Security check on your home.
- 50% Non Refundable Deposit at the time of booking/ balance due on 1st day
- A minimum of one visit per day is required as per RSPCA Guidelines, we do not do alternate day visits for the health and safety of your cat.
Dog Minding Service in your Home from £10
- Tailored to you and your dogs needs.
- Each booking is different and we ensure your dogs routine is kept as normal as possible.
- 50% deposit Non Refundable payable at the time of booking and the balance payable on the first day.
Dog Boarding in our Home from £23 per 24 hour stay
- £35 for 2 dogs in same household
- £50 for 3 dogs in same household *
- 24 hour care

- Optional higher Standards met for new regulations
- *we do not take more than 3 dogs from the same household ( pet sitting in your home is available for 4 or more dogs/pets)
- Regulated and licenced by St Helens MBC (Number AB51)
Day care
- Whilst your out for a few hours or at work
- Walk included to suit your dogs age, ability
- Pop in visit/walk/extended walk from £10
- upto 4 hours in a group from £12
- upto 8 hours in a group from £17
