Our range of Cwmbran dog walking and cat sitting services
The Cwmbran dog walker team of Friends For Pets was started by Sam in 2019. Sam and her pet care team in Cwmbran are able to provide a wide range of high quality, flexible and reliable pet care services. Our services include dog walking, cat sitting, small animal boarding, and house sitting (licensed dog day care and home boarding coming in 2020!). However, we aim to tailor our services to the needs of you and your pet so please always ask us if you are interested in a different service and we will do our very best to help. The welfare of your pet and the security of both you and your pet are our paramount concern. With that in mind, all of our pet carers hold a basic disclosure certificate and are trained in pet first aid. Also, we do not arrive at your home in sign written vehicles to ensure we are not announcing to everyone that no one is home and we are transporting lots of dogs around. Our pet carers are also offered ongoing training and support. We are fully insured. We are members of the Pet Industry Federation (the membership association for pet industry specialists in the UK) and we are committed to their member charter. Some of our favourite walks around Cwmbran include:-
- Blaen Bran Mountain walk
- Llwyncelyn Nature Reserve
- Spring field ponds
- Llandegfedd Resevoir
Our Cwmbran Dog Walker Team Manager!
The Cwmbran team is managed by Samantha. Samantha has a very keen interest in animals and their welfare. Animals have always been a passion for her and from a very young age she had a wide variety of pets including hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, fish and birds also learning to horse ride and eventually owning her own horses and ponies. Her love of animals lead her on to getting a job at Cefn Mably Farm Park where she cared for and supervised a wide range of agricultural animals. Whilst working there she completed a Dog Grooming OCN and a small holding course. After having her second child she returned to work at Walnut Tree Farm Park. Whilst working there she completed a Diploma in Animal Care and Psychology. Samantha lives in Cwmbran with her husband, two children and two dogs – a yellow labrador and a black bulldog. She loves walking them up the mountain and along the canal.Sam has completed a certificate in dog behaviour and is a qualified Pet First Aider. Sam is currently doing an animal physiotherapy course with the aim to help her own and client’s dogs with arthritic changes. Sam is also undertaking a dog nutrition course. Sam has a wealth of experience in handling nervous or reactive dogs as well.
Hi, my name is Tracey. My previous job of 29 years was caring for young people in a residential setting. To do that job you need to have resilience, patience and most importantly a genuinely caring nature. I love the fact that I can transfer those skills to looking after animals big or small. I’ve owned dogs and cats all my life so have a genuine undersyanding of their needs. I also look after numerous friends beloved dogs when they go away on holidays as they know I treat every pet as if it were my own.
