Welcome to Fido’s Friends – a friendly, reliable and professional dog walking, boarding and pet home visit service covering Bournemouth and Poole.

At Fido’s Friends your dog is treated like one of our own, offering home from home boarding and walked whatever the weather, either on local beaches, parks or woodland areas.

We are here to help with your needs, making your dog happy, and your life simpler.

Dog Walking – Our dog walking service offers you the option of one off dog walks, say if you are away for the day, or regular walks, whilst you are at work. The walks are varied to keep them fun and exciting for your dog.

45 minutes to 1 hour – £15.00 for group dog walks and an extra £10 per additional dog picked up from the same address*

*Weekend dog walks are an additional £3 per walk, per dog. All bank holiday weekends (including Christmas Eve and New Years Eve) are an additional £5. Prices include picking up and dropping home.

1:1 dog walks – POA

Day care and Boarding – No need to stress when you have to go out for the day, night, weekend or on holiday. Our service will ensure your dog is well cared for whilst you are away in a home from home environment.

£30 day care (up to 9 hours, 2 walks provided)*
£40 24 hour boarding (2 walks provided)**

*Large dog breeds (eg German Shepherds, etc…) and individual dog boarding incur additional charge.

*Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day are all charged at double rate. Christmas Eve, New Years Eve and all other Bank Holiday weekends will be charged at an increase of 50% to the normal fee.

*Drop off and pick up times to be agreed in advance. If you require your dog to be picked up or returned home for you an additional charge will be incurred. There are additional charges for late pick up (over 1 hour late).

**A minimum of 2 nights boarding is required.

A deposit of 50% is to be paid at time of booking for day care and boarding services and remainder prior to or on drop off.

Pet Home Visits – Perfect if you just need someone to pop in for a brief visit to your cat, dog or any other animal you may have.

£15.00 per visit (4 mile radius only from our establishment, otherwise there will be an additional charge). Discounts for more than 1 visit in a day. Please note there are additional charges for weekends and Christmas/Easter/bank holidays as per dog walking prices above.

Over the years I have looked after a number of dogs for friends whilst they have been away for the day and now have my own Sprocker Spaniel, Bertie. Through this experience in January 2015 I decided to set up Fido’s Friends and offer my skills to potential clients in the form of dog walking, boarding and pet pop in service. I am fully licensed with the local council and have a Distinction in Canine Care and Behaviour AIM Level 2 course.

Based in Bournemouth, Dorset, living with 2 of my 3 adult children and we are a dog loving family, offering home from home care.

Your dog will be treated as part of the family. However I do ask for your dog to be well behaved, able to get on with other dogs, be fully house trained and neutered. We operate in Bournemouth, Southbourne and Poole.

Dog Walking – Bournemouth area

Our dog walking service offers you the option of one off dog walks, if you are out for the day, or regular walks, whilst you are at work, whatever your requirements we try to be flexible.

The walks are in a variety of locations such as the beach, park or woodland areas and we keep them fun and exciting for your dog.

Your dog can be walked on or off the lead, this will be discussed with you when booking and during your free initial consultation. After the walk your dog will be dropped back home feeling happy and contented.

All of our staff have insurance for public liability, care, custody and control for your peace of mind.

Please note Dogs must not be aggressive and must have good recall. We are unable to walk dogs that are in season.

Boarding Service – Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch

If you are planning to go away for the day, overnight, weekend or holiday we can take care of your dog in our home and are fully licensed with Bournemouth Borough Council (all providers of these services require a license from their local council when offering a day or night boarding service otherwise they could be breaking the law). We know from experience that it is stressful finding someone who is reliable, trustworthy and who will give your dog the kind of care that you would expect and your dog deserves. Fido’s Friends will do this for you. The house and gardens are totally secure; giving you peace of mind that your dog will be in a good environment.

All we ask of you is to supply your dogs food and a familiar blanket that provide additional comfort in your absence and also ensure that their vaccinations are up to date.

Pet Home Visits – Bournemouth

If you are away for the day and do not require your dog walking but would like us to pop in to let your dog out for the toilet, maybe feed him/her, we can provide this service for you. We can also pop in to care for your others pets too!
