Equine & Pet Services was founded in 2005 by Giles Jackson, the son of a vet, to offer horse and pet owners a more caring and personalised service at the end of their animals’ lives.Â
We are members of the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries & Crematoria, which sets the standards for the respectful cremation and burial of companion animals.
For further information about the high standards of professional conduct and client care we adhere to as APPCC members, please visit www.appcc.org.uk.
Your horse or pet will be treated with the utmost respect and care throughout, from the point of collection (if required) to the handing over of the ashes afterwards.Â
Horses will be collected from your selected premises in a discreet, clean trailer and brought straight back to our Garden Yard.
At Equine & Pet Services, every cremation is undertaken individually, so you can be assured that your pet is given the attention it deserves throughout its cremation and that its ashes alone are returned to you.Â
No animals are put to sleep at our premises, so it is always better for us to collect.Â
We can arrange collection from your vet, your home, stables or paddock using our specially designed, discreet transporter. Collections are as brief and discreet as possible and your horse will be handled with the utmost respect throughout.Â
Our cremator is large enough to accommodate even the largest horse in its entirety.
Â
Some people prefer to bring their pet in to us themselves after it has passed away. Please call first to arrange an appointment.Â
Every pet is handled with dignity and respect at all times.
Â
At Equine and Pet Services we offer truly individual cremations, so that you can be assured that your beloved pet’s ashes alone are returned to you. For both A and B options, a certificate of cremation accompanies either choice.
Ashes are specially prepared and placed in a wooden casket, with a brass plaque bearing your beloved animal’s name. For horses, we can clean and mount one shoe on top of the casket, if you wish.
Your casket will be with you always, even if you move house, as a reminder of your pet.
Ashes are specially prepared and placed in a willow casket with a cotton lining.Â
This allows you to decide at a later date whether you wish to keep, bury or scatter your beloved horse or pet’s ashes.
