FAMILIARISATION VISITS

Booking any service starts with a familiarisation visit! It is really important to us that both you and your dog(s) feel comfortable with us and trust us completely. This initial visit is free of charge and is an opportunity for us to learn everything we can about your dog before we start walks together.

If possible, we always aim to go on a short walk with you and your dog before we spend some time chatting about your requirements. We want to know everything! Does your dog travel well in the car? Has he/she suffered any illness or injury? The more we know about their characteristics and any ‘quirks’ the better prepared we will be for loads of enjoyable walks together. 

GROUP WALKS

Group walks can be an amazing opportunity for your dog(s) to socialise. We arrange transport to and from the walk, give them a few yummy treats and we pride ourselves on ensuring that dogs are in groups with dogs they enjoy spending time with. We like to vary where we walk so that it’s always a new adventure to keep them interested and stimulated.

From the fist walk onward we will always be completely honest about how well they are settling in. Our job is only enjoyable if all the dogs are safe and happy. We look for dogs to have good loose lead walking skills and recall away from other dogs before they are able to join group adventures.

A walk will usually last 1 hour but will be a minimum of 45 minutes if the Scottish weather means everyone is soggy and mucky and we need time to get cleaned off!

FREEDOM FIELD WALKS

Freedom field walks are for groups of up to six dogs in a secure field. This is ideal for dogs that love spending time with other dogs but maybe don’t quite have the reliable recall we need to keep them safe on normal walks. There is no extra charge for freedom field walks but if the group is smaller then we may occasionally look to take dogs on an on lead walk instead.

MOOCHIE WALKS

Moochie walks are the name we have given to any walk out-with the freedom field. Really because it’s a chance for dogs to mooch about, have a sniff and explore lots of new places. We will still only ever take a maximum of six dogs but generally speaking these groups are smaller (four or five dogs). We’ve found loads of amazing spots all around Livingston and the surrounding areas where the dogs can sniff in the woods, dip in the water or just run through the park.

INDIVIDUAL WALKS

There are so many reasons that you may prefer your dog to be walked individually. If you have a dog that is particularly strong on the lead, has issues with reactivity or is perhaps still in training, we are more than happy to arrange walks that can be properly tailored to make sure they get the most benefit. For dogs that are needing specific training when out walking we will listen carefully to any plans you have in place and make sure that their time with us ensures consistency.  

HOME/PUPPY VISITS

We like to think that we do home visits with a bit of a difference! Of course we will do all the obvious things, let them out to the toilet, top-up water bowls, feed them and give them cuddles but we are also a massive fan of enrichment and games based training. It is so important for dogs (particularly puppies) to be mentally stimulated. We will come armed with Kongs, snuffle mats, food puzzles and lots of little games that can be played to keep them occupied and tire them out before I leave. We will always send a little report afterwards to let you know what we got up to and hopefully give you some ideas that you can continue with.
