Hi I’m Sonja Carey, the owner of Dogknows Central South London.

My number one priority is the happiness and wellbeing of your dog and my lifelong dedication to dogs and their welfare is at the core of my Dogknows business.

When I was six my Mum sadly lost her eyesight and over the years, I grew up along side her three guide dogs, all of which I adored implicitly but I had fallen in love with dogs even earlier, when our family pet dog ‘Brock’ had three puppies. I still remember clearly how warm and exited I felt as my Dad carefully handed me each one in turn to hold – so precious, so adorable and so much fun.

For the past 20 years I worked in the City as a PA for senior managing directors within large corporate financial firms. Early in 2018, after the sad and very sudden loss of my Mum, I realised how short life can be and it was time to change my own life for the better. I wanted to fulfil my ultimate dream of spending my days working with dogs.

Dogknows gives me the support to put my dog knowledge and skills into a business I have dreamed of running and now I look forward to helping busy dog owners with the care of their dogs.
